CROOKS!! This company sent an outstanding bill for towing an abandoned boat I sold, 13 years ago, to a collection agency and against my credit. Despite me providing the proper documentation, which included the Owner Transfer Notification (PWD 1340) that was filed with TPWD, the email from TPWD confirming when the boat was sold, along with the new owner information, and a letter from TPWD confirming I was not the owner, the manager Jeff refused to acknowledge or accept what I sent. He refused to return my numerous phone calls. The collection agency didn't want to deal with me, only Texas Towing. After reporting them to BBB and the AG, they (the collection agency) finally accepted the documentation from me directly. I'm all for collection what is due to you, but fraudulently reporting to credit bureaus, after showing proof I haven't been the record owner for over 13 years, AND providing documentation of the correct owner (so they can go after them instead), you're just a crook that shouldn't be in a management position. Mariah at Texas Towing can confirm how many times I called to speak with Jeff, and how many times I told her he hadn't returned my phone calls. I did my part when selling the boat, filing the correct document to show I sold it, to avoid something coming back on me. People in a position like Jeff, should be fully aware of the laws before being made manager of any company.
This company towed a vehicle that the police confirmed had current registration and insurance. They also proceeded to over charge the client. The charge on the credit card was (less than a dollar) more than what was written on the ticket. This is credit card fraud no matter how small the amount. This has been reported to the credit card company. Bottom line this is an unethical company.
Bexar county forced me to tow my totaled vehicle with this company after an accident. I paid to have it towed to a residence and when the vehicle arrived, the tow truck driver and his assistant pulled up DRIVING my totaled car (air bags deployed as well) after charging me $131 to tow it. First of all, it’s a safety hazard to drive a vehicle in that condition without knowing what issues it has now and a liability if they get injured driving a totaled vehicle with deployed airbags and locked seatbelts. I reached out and was told to leave my info about my complaint and still haven’t heard from anyone. I have camera footage of the vehicle being driven and dropped off. I filed a dispute with my bank as well. Please avoid using this company if possible..I know the Sheriff forces you to use it but if there’s any way to avoid it please avoid it!
You have to make sure whoever you speak to on the phone gives you the right information. I had to make two trips to this location because the woman who answered the phone gave me bad information. Make sure you have a valid driver license/ID when you go, I didn't have to have insurance when I got my car but I have a feeling that may change based off the person working. They are open 24hrs but after midnight they charge for another day. It's like $23 a day, plus tow fees and whatever else they might add when you go to pay for your vehicle. The employees were average nothing much to complain about, same basic shitty customer service attitude of someone who has either worked to long or hates their job all together. Don't bring extra people if you don't have to, because they won't let them stay in the building with you if they are not needed to pay or drive the vehicle off the lot. Besides that everything went smooth didn't have to wait long after everything was paid for.
Alex at the front desk has a foul attitude. My car was totalled and in the wreck my wallet was launched so I had to retrieve it out of my vehicle. You would think I asked the lady to do something above and beyond what her job requires the way that she treated me to have to go into that yard and get my stuff to get my property. I'm sorry I asked you to do your job that day.If you hate your job that much, you should probably get another one instead of taking it out on poor customers that don't even want to be dealing with you anyway....lazy, rude, foul....
