I brought my vehicle to The Auto Clinic for diagnosis and repair. The initial assessment did not resolve the issue, and I incurred significant out-of-pocket costs while being told the problem was addressed. Ultimately, the vehicle required major work that was completed elsewhere. I requested reimbursement after providing documentation, which was declined. I’m sharing this so future customers understand the risk: if a diagnosis is incorrect, the financial burden may still fall entirely on you. I recommend getting second opinions and written guarantees before authorizing major repairs. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// Thank you for responding. To clarify for anyone reading, the concern I raised is based on the overall outcome, not whether certain steps were performed during the process. While I acknowledge that your shop identified a misfire and provided diagnostic information, the issue with the vehicle was not ultimately resolved, and I still incurred significant costs pursuing a complete repair elsewhere. My review is simply intended to highlight that, in situations involving major repairs—especially when multiple parties (such as engine suppliers and installers) are involved—the financial risk can still fall on the customer if the problem is not fully corrected. I also want to note that I attempted to handle this professionally through documentation and communication before leaving a review. I stand by my recommendation that customers seek second opinions and ensure clear expectations before authorizing major work.

Had a Engine top-end rebuild from the Auto clinic on my ram 1500. Super approachable and welcoming atmosphere. Kept me informed and up to date on the repairs and costs and went above an beyond to ensure it was put back together well and repaired. Took a little longer that expected to complete the repair, but very pleased with the result and professionalism! It was nice getting a tour of the shop and taking the time to make me feel welcome. I would return here for future repairs, no doubt about it.

I brought my vehicle here to fix a specific issue, and that issue was never fixed. On top of that, the shop failed to reconnect my emergency brake cable, creating a serious safety concern. I was charged an excessive amount simply to install a carrier bearing—which has already failed. After having another mechanic inspect the work, it’s clear the job was either done improperly or not done correctly at all. This is the kind of shop people warn you about. If you’ve been here recently, I strongly suggest taking your vehicle to a second mechanic and asking what was actually replaced. I was treated like an easy target because I was from out of state. That was a mistake. I travel to El Paso often and will be following up in person if this is not resolved. I am requesting a full refund immediately. If this issue isn’t corrected, I will pursue further action and make sure others are aware of my experience.
