Poor dance training, I had to relearn all of my dance fundamentals when I left this studio. We were encouraged never to train elsewhere while we were at this studio and the moment I did take class elsewhere I realised the lack of technique and skill the teachers here have. I am now a professional dancer but I had to work twice as hard to unlearn not only the incorrect terminology and technique I was taught but also the incredibly unhealthy thought processes that were trained into me here. Instructors have inappropriate relationships with students and I would never send my child here. If you care about your child’s safety, dance knowledge, and mental health SEND THEM ELSEWHERE.

My daughter has been dancing at TBOS for 4 years and it has been the best experience for her. She has grown incredibly as a dancer. The instructors have high expectations, but are also supportive and encouraging. Community of dancers here is wonderful.

This studio is amazing. My 13-year-old daughter has been doing musical theater for years but recognized that her dance skills needed work. However, it’s not easy to find a place with beginning dance classes for 13 year olds. Enter the Big Open Dance Studio - it’s been amazing for my daughter. Not only is the level of instruction right for her, but their focus is actually teaching kids musical theater dance!! I feel so lucky that we found this studio and its fabulous instructors and I highly recommend it to others looking for a similar experience!
