Disclaimer: Food reviews are subjective. What I enjoy, you may not—and just because I don’t like something doesn’t mean it’s bad. It simply means it wasn’t to my personal taste. With that said, here’s my review. I stopped by The Crooked Duck and had a really solid experience overall. What We Ordered Flat Iron Steak & Eggs (Steak and eggs with caramelized onions, breakfast potatoes, and toast) Corned Beef Hash & Eggs (Served with breakfast potatoes and toast) Banana Nut Muffin The Food The banana nut muffin was absolutely delicious and easily my favorite item of the meal — moist, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The steak, eggs, and potatoes were okay overall. My only issue was that the steak and potatoes were a bit too salty for my taste. That said, the pieces of steak that weren’t overly salty were actually really good and flavorful, so it wasn’t a total miss. Atmosphere & Service This is a small restaurant with amazing decor and a great vibe. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable. Customer service was excellent, and the owner was super cool and friendly, which really added to the experience. Overall Experience Good food, great service, and a nice atmosphere. With a little less salt on some of the dishes, this place would be even better. I’d definitely come back and try more items.
Quiet quaint open-air dining w/ marvelous Bloody Mary's & burgers for our lunch! We visited the next day for breakfast w/ flap jacks & French toast! Delicious! Be sure to get you a crooked duck t-shirt too! 🦆🦆
I ordered through DoorDash. I ordered a two eggs breakfast that ended up not coming with any eggs. They said they had substituted the eggs for potatoes. We wanted the eggs and the potatoes. The picture for the meal is super confusing. The picture makes it appear that it comes with eggs, a protein, potatoes, and a choice of bread. For our order we were given potatoes, English muffin, and bacon for $18, no eggs. The other order was a bacon burger, without cheese, with sweet potatoes fries. I asked for mayo and ketchup packets but I didn’t receive either. The burger was good, I could have used more condiments. The egg breakfast needed eggs and jam. I did call the restaurant to tell them about the issues. However, since we ordered through door dash nothing could be done. I would only eat here again if I was able to visit the restaurant in person. I loved the drawings on the containers that was a very cute touch.
This was a nice breakfast and lunch diner. It is styled with the history of the diner, ducks of course, and sport memorabilia. It is cozy and has seating for the inside and the patio. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was very good and gave great suggestions. The menu has a lot to choose from and you may select breakfast or lunch anytime. They serve quite a bit of breakfast selections for a reasonable price and for everyone’s palate. The country fried steak was really good, the eggs were delicious and are served to your liking. There’s regular coffee and hazelnut; the coffee is not that strong and very light. There’s regular potatoes are good and are made with bell peppers and onions. You can choose fruit, beans, and other selections for substitutions. The pancakes look delicious and so do the other meals. There is a special menu and it may include bison. It is kid friendly and is accessible to all. Parking is limited but there is street parking. It is open for only breakfast and lunch.
Amazing brunch place! Went here on a Sunday morning. Parking wasn't too difficult to find. We got there and got seated quickly. They did mess up our order, but the food was good so we just chose to accept it because the food here is just THAT good. Their wonton nachos are really good and we got the chili Verde omelet by mistake. The chili Verde omelet was great, but theres no spice. It was like just having good chicken in an omelet. We also ordered the Mega Mimosa and it was super worth it. They have a lot of juice options like mango, guava, pomegranate, grapefruit, and orange juice. The bottle of bubbly was decently sized so for two people you'll get a nice buzz. The staff was sweet and the music and vibes are really nice. Will definitely be coming back
