We first heard of The DogPa by word of mouth! We called 3 trainers and Nicholas was the first trainer to contact us! I was impressed by his quick response as I thought it as great customer service. We booked several beginner training sessions with Nicholas for our 8 month old Pug, Ellie. Our goal was to have Ellie be well trained and behaved so she could go to a lot of places with us. We needed her to have good social manners and not jumping on people. We were grateful how easy Nicholas made the training for us and Ellie. He helped us understand that a dog needs simple one word commands, structure and routine and some fun play time added in throughout the day! Nicholas not only trained our Pug, but he taught us a lot about dogs and their behavior. Today Ellie goes with us in stores and she is a sweetie pie and sits like she is asked to and most everyone wants to come up and see her to pet her. She’s calm, and very friendly. She’s turned into a happy girl and we know it’s from the training she received from Nicholas! We plan to have occasional dog training refresher classes in the future with Nicholas! I highly recommend The DogPa to anyone! Our dog is happier for the training she received!
I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Nicholas Bell and DogPa K9. From the very first session, it was clear that he not only understands dogs but also knows how to teach their humans effectively. We worked together at his training space, my work and home, and I was very happy with the progress my dog and I made. Not only did my dog respond so well to his methods, but I also gained valuable knowledge and confidence as an owner. Nicholas has a calm but commanding presence that made the entire process enjoyable and valuable. He’s patient, professional, and clearly passionate about what he does. Beyond that, he’s just a genuinely nice person, that I now consider a friend. My experience with The DogPa was truly life changing. When I first made that initial call to Nicholas I was worried that I was too late in getting help with 5-year-old pit mix, Lambeau. Lambeau has a bite history and was so anxious/fearful it made day to day things such as walks or having visitors over stressful and unenjoyable. He’s been through some other trainings in the past, but I would constantly find myself stuck and unsure of how to move forward. Lambeau recently went through the 2-week Pawcademy and it was more than worth the investment. I love the relationship-based approach Nicholas uses and I’ve learned so much about how my cues, my mood, when/how I was showing affection contributed to his anxiety and fear. I received daily updates/videos that allowed me to watch his training process unfold. Nicholas then spent 2.5 hours after Lambeau finished his 2-weeks to go over the training and what the steps are moving forward to continue with his progress. It has been an incredible experience working with The DogPa. I’ve felt listened to, heard, and fully supported from the initial phone call I made, throughout his training, and now going forward in the years to come. I feel more empowered as Lambeau’s owner and now I have the tools to work through those challenging situations that I used to avoid. I cannot thank The DogPa enough and I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking to train their dog, no matter the stage, age, or challenges.
Nick at DogPa K9 Training is fantastic! We took our English Cream Retriever puppy and he was fantastic with her! He is very patient and you can sure tell he loves his job! We left there with all the directions needed to continue our work at home. He is always available for any questions you may have. Highly recommend him for all your puppy/dog training needs! Ruby says he has the best treats in Omaha! 🐶❤️
We boarded 4 year old German Shepherd, Echo, for 2 weeks and Nicholas set an outstanding foundation for us to follow! Echo used to pull so much on walks and it was by far the biggest struggle with him. Nicholas helped Echo master his walking, making it so enjoyable for us to talk Echo out. Echo’s obedience overall has improved drastically! We are beyond grateful for Nicholas and it was all so worth it! Throughout the two weeks, Nicholas kept us very updated with pictures and videos of his progress and taught us everything we need to know in order to continue working with Echo!
