The Fruit is one of the best establishments in the Durham area. I have been to several events at The Fruit. I haven't been to a single event there that wasn't amazing, well staffed, bathrooms in great shape, and that I felt safe and comfortable at.

I really enjoyed this venue. I thought the sound was great and I enjoyed getting close to the set. The bar had some lines, but not terrible. Would definitely come here again.

I went to see the Bridge City Sinners last night. I saw them live in another venue before. I love the sense of community, safety, and belonging they enable. They had 2 rules. Rule number one was for safety. They designated an area for the mosh pit and told us not to fight. Rule number two was to respect fems for the night and maybe even they next day? This was a joke implying that this should always be the case. Pros: The fruit staff were friendly and helpful. The venue was easily found and located near many restaurants. Cons: The venue is standing room only, no balcony, etc. It was hard to see the stage, but that is to be expected, I'm 5'5 and I don't feel short until I go to a concert. It would be nice if there were options to see the stage for us shorties. The BCS didn't sound like they did when they were live before. Libby asked the sound engineer to fix something while they were doing their set. It didn't sound like anything was fixed. I ended up leaving early.
