Suspect my wallet was alleviated (robbed) of it's cash while in a padlocked locker here. Showers are warm but my feet kept getting splashed from the adjacent shower. There's signs of mold on the ceiling, which is a tad concerning.

I've raised issues on multiple occasions via the app feedback form for this gym regarding the heated air conditioning being turned on. It's common sense that we don't put heated air conditioning on (at all) whilst people are working out. This is unacceptable. I don't expect to repeat myself via feedback forms & complaints to onsite PT's regarding this to nothing being done and prompt changes not happening. So, this to me tells me that I've got no other choice but to move gyms. Other issues noted here is the small lockers outside the gym changing rooms, adjacent to the water refilling station. Many of them are faulty. Also, peoples selfish & backwards parking mentality & habits (people parking slanted across 2 spaces with one car) have not been addressed when I've complained about this to The Gym Group & car park management team (SmartParking). I've also raised this issue with my MP for the reasons of when the car park is busy & some people may need closer parking due to disabilities, which doesn't appear to be a priority of The Gym Group. Finally, I've noticed that The Gym Group - Broad Street keeps doing regular closures for 1-3 days but never sets it up to provide me with an alternative gym to use in the interim of the works being carried out. The owner quickly needs to get a grip here & realise that there is significant competition in and around Broad Street with the Hagley Rd, Ladywood & Smethwick gyms down the road with free parking, one of which I'll be joining now as my membership/direct debit with The Gym Group has been cancelled.

Very very poor experience today. They have 3 stair climbers and each one has problems, one has no power and the other two are malfunctioning. Then I moved on to a step machine which does not function at the intended level, explaining where that machine is situated. By this time 20 minutes had been wasted. Spoke directly to the Manager who explained the problems with the machines and that during the Xmas period they couldn’t get the engineers out as intended. No apology… no one seems to care or express accountability. No signs on machines saying they’re not working. I was a member at the gym group across the road for years and never had any issues to this scale no matter what time of year. Sometimes all it takes is someone showing they actually care when being addressed with a grievance. I politely explained I will not be returning to this gym which was met with an empty response. Not expecting perfection and things happen, that’s the world we live in, but expect such a review if the club doesn’t care, why should I! On a positive note I’ve not had these issues at the London pure gyms I use and only moved away from the gym group as the pure gym is close to my work place.

Have been training here for six months now, and it is easily the best-kept, best‑equipped gym available around the £20 price point. Other chains charge much more, yet their machines are often out of order, dirty, or poorly maintained, whereas here the equipment is consistently clean, well‑lubricated, and ready to use. I have tried four different gym brands across the UK and this one is by far the most reasonable and the one I recommend the most. The hygiene standards are excellent, and you never see broken machines sitting there for weeks waiting to be fixed. Special mention to the staff member who looks like Arthur Shelby with a moustache, he keeps the place spotless and the free weights always neatly organised. Would highly recommend this gym over the competition, whether you are just starting out or are an experienced lifter looking for a reliable place to train.

I’ve been going to this gym for a year now and it’s easily one of the best in the area. The equipment is always clean and well-maintained, the atmosphere is welcoming, and there’s a great mix of people, The only downside is that it can get a little busy during peak hours, but that’s just a sign of how popular and well-run the place is I suppose. One staff member who really stands out is Suad Ismail She’s always friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. Whether it’s offering advice on form or just greeting members with a smile, they go above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and motivated. It’s clear they care about the members and take pride in their work. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a clean, supportive environment to reach your fitness goals.
