The sales person was super friendly and was really helpful with me. In the end we got this beautiful gift for somebody super special. The place was beautiful, decorated, and clean. It did not have a place to park, but we know that it is expected in Los Angeles.

Very impressive. Many vendors, SO many different and unique items. Whatever your style is you will find something here, or perhaps fall in love with a new style! Prices are not too terribly bad and they will negotiate especially when they hear CASH!

We thought we’d take a stroll through the Jewelry District in Los Angeles, but, just like most places in downtown LA, it ended up being more of a brisk walk. There’s a feeling of commerce, almost a sense of urgency on the streets here. Men in suits passing out business cards and offering to make you deals. Glittering gems and mounds of gold in window after window. In fact, with so many identical shops offering what appears to be identical merchandise how does one know where to start? How can you be sure your purchase will be legit? Apparently, one of the reasons to choose the Jewelry District is that you can trust that the jewelry here is really what it is claimed to be. So, I simply picked a store and entered. It seems the omega necklace I wanted to buy was hard to find, but I finally found a counter who had one for sale. After examining the chain I could tell it wasn’t brand new as he was claiming, which I pointed out to him and he denied! He would not negotiate on the not particularly low price which totally surprised me. I would have left had I not had such trouble finding the item, but, though not brand new, the chain was in good condition. Another fellow in a booth next to him tried to sell me a ‘brand new’ bracelet that was scratched and damaged. I left The Jewelry District with the hard to find jewelry I came for, but not that excited feeling of having made a good bargain in buying it that I expected from a cool place like The Jewelry District in LA.
