We started with Grant when Tomson was only a few months old. He was having some issues with guarding and impulse control. Grant gave us meaningful exercises to do which brought us through puppyhood to his teen months. Now that he's a little more mature we are working towards obtaining off-leash freedom. I recommend Grant to anyone looking to sharpen obedience skills, work on off-leash behavior, and grow a strong bond with your dog.
We had an amazing experience with Grant helping train our 10-week-old husky puppy, Oso. He was patient, knowledgeable, and really understood how to work with a young puppy. Grant gave us clear guidance and tools that actually work, and we’ve already seen great progress with Oso. We feel so much more confident as puppy parents and are grateful for his support. We adopted a puppy at Mission Bay Puppy Rescue and they recommended Grant as a dog trainer for our pup, Camper. Grant was immediately able to provide us with custom suggestions and solutions, helped us teach Camper great leash manners early on, and helped us tremendously through in home training as well! He introduced a variety of tools and concepts, all of which we practice still. We will continue going to Grant’s group classes and are so grateful for all he did to set us off to a great start raising Camper!
We’ve had such a great experience working with Grant! Our dog Pepper is a 3-year-old rescue who’s sweet but struggled with anxiety and on-leash reactivity. After our very first lesson, we saw her confidence and leash manners improve almost immediately. Now, after about six private lessons, she can walk calmly in heel, her reactivity has improved so much, and she’s doing great with her off-leash e-collar training. Grant’s energy and positivity make training fun and low-stress. He helped us build our skills and Pepper’s confidence in all kinds of environments—like Fiesta Island, Liberty Station, and the PB boardwalk—always offering clear, encouraging feedback. He’s also incredibly responsive between sessions; his feedback on the videos we send make it easy to stay on track and know we’re practicing things correctly at home. We highly recommend Grant to anyone working toward having a calm, confident, and reliable dog. He’s the best!
Grant has been a wonderful resource for our family and our puppy. Grant not only trains our dog, but us as well, showing us simple methods that work, so that we’re able to continue Teddy’s training. I really appreciate that Grant offers a variety of adventures in safe areas. Teddy comes home happy, tired, and relaxed every time. I can tell Grant genuinely loves dogs and understands their behavior. He always provides great updates, videos and photos. He’s made such a difference for us! Teddy is now calm and obedient at home or off leash thanks to Grant’s work with him.
