I cannot recommend Nicole and The Persuaded Pooch highly enough! My puppy, Franklin, has completed three group classes - Puppy Socialization, Top Notch Teens, and Basic Obedience. While each course covered similar topics, they built upon and expanded the skills learned in the previous course and it was very worthwhile to take all three. I appreciate that Nicole always leaves time for questions and she has provided invaluable advice over the past 4 months. Franklin can reliably perform all basic commands at just 7 months old and has excellent manners both at home and in public. People always comment that he is shockingly well behaved for his age. I truly feel that would not be the case without Nicole’s help! We are very excited to try the recall class next!

My fearful, reactive pup and I worked with Nicole Berthold of Persuaded Pooch, and I can’t say enough good things about her. She helped us create a routine for visitors and develop management techniques to keep my pup, myself, and visitors comfortable while continuing to desensitize my dog to strangers and make the interactions positive experiences. I would recommend The Persuaded Pooch to anyone whose dog is struggling with behavioral issues.

My wife and I recently wrapped up six training sessions with Sarah helping us work with our dog, George, on various pain points. These included taking accidentally dropped items, resource guarding, window and door reactivity, and dog reactivity. George's reactive behaviors have become so much more manageable with the tools and guidance Sarah provided. We have a much better understanding of both why the behavior is occurring and what to look for and do in each scenario. Time at the park has gone from stressful to enjoyable. Sarah breaks down the training components into easy-to-follow steps. We felt confident applying the training techniques after training sessions and will continue to do so moving forward! We very highly recommend giving The Persuaded Pooch your consideration if you're interested in personalized dog training. We're very excited about the amazing progress our dog has made over the recent months and the training has strengthened our bond with George. Thank you, Sarah, and The Persuaded Pooch for your attention and care in assisting George!

Nicole at Persuaded Pooch was immensely helpful in guiding us with our very shy, fearful pup. She is professional, incredibly knowledgeable and patient, with a clear passion for her work. We knew we needed to get our dog comfortable enough at the vet for routine check-ups (while keeping the vet safe) and that we wanted to be able to take him to new places and introduce him to new people while facilitating a positive experience for him. This was a tall order given our experience up to that point. Nicole's training quickly proved to be immensely helpful, as we now have several successful vet visits as well as "new people" introductions under our belt. When our pup injured his foot recently, we knew we could easily ask him to jump right into the tub so that we could clean the wound. (A feat that, I assure you, would have been nearly impossible without Nicole's training and guidance.) Because of the tools Nicole provided us, we've been able to keep our pup mentally stimulated and burning energy in a safe way while he recovers. We are so thankful to have found Nicole and Persuaded Pooch and look forward to continuing the journey!

My pup Milo and I are eagerly waiting for the start of our third class with Nicole from Persuaded Pooch. Great trainer, gives clear instructions, has lots of alternative ideas to help handlers, very friendly and uplifting to work with. All positive training for both dogs and their people!
