The place is nice and tidy, they added a new bouldering section witch almost doubled the bouldering area plus there's the climbing area where you can self belay, top rope and lead. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and available. I like it there.

It was my first time coming here. A friend who trains here recommended it to me. The place is incredible, the facilities are top-notch, the staff was friendly and charismatic, and the overall atmosphere is welcoming. I’ll definitely be back.

For the last few months I've been doing personal training with Pia, the Head Coach at the Rock Oasis, and it has completely transformed my climbing. Within a month I was already noticing tangible improvements to my technique, strength and endurance. Pia is very knowledgeable and provides great feedback during one-on-one training sessions. Her monthly training plans are very detailed and provide you with everything you need to progress and meet your goals. Pia does a great job of getting to know you and your climbing goals so that your plan can be personalized to you and what you're hoping to get out of training. I highly recommend reaching out to Pia to ask about her services and to see if personal training is right for you — I know I have found working with her to be incredibly helpful. If you are looking for some kind of coaching but not ready for personal training, I would also recommend keeping an eye out for the Rock Oasis's adult programming. Prior to starting personal training, I took Bouldering 201 with Pia and had a really positive experience. This course was 6 weeks long with about 6-10 students in total, and was a great opportunity to learn about intermediate-level climbing techniques, receive feedback from a coach, and get to know other climbers from the gym community!

I have been a member for more than 5 years and for the first time I’m considering not renewing my membership. For as much money as they are charging for memberships it’s a shame to see so little invested into the facility itself. They have multiple other facilities in the GTA (Joe Rockhead’s and UTB) that seem to have much higher standards for up keep, so I’m unsure as to why Rock Oasis is being neglected. Bouldering mats are ripped and worn. The only slab wall has been closed for at least four weeks due to “maintenance”, yet no work has been done on it. The air quality is poor. The main sinks are outdated and full of grime and mold. The overhead lights are constantly burnt out and/or flickering, which affects your ability to climb in some of the bays. Top ropes are often too short to tie/clip into comfortably. Rock Oasis has a great community, fun setting and welcoming staff, however, the facility is simply not well maintained by the owners and it’s beginning to overshadow the positives. It’s unfortunate to see the lack of care put into this otherwise awesome gym.

Visited a while ago and had a great experience. The place was clean, and had a good variety of climbing routes for different skill levels, but some of the holds could use a bit more maintenance since they were tough to grip.. The staff was very helpful. I’d recommend going in the morning or afternoon since it can get pretty busy in the evening.
