Seattle’s Most Restorative Spa Experience — Where Quiet Luxury Meets True Skill If you’re looking for a spa in Seattle that delivers real calm, real care, and real healing, The Spa at Hotel 1000 is one of the strongest experiences you can have. As someone who has been in the wellness industry for more than 23 years and the founder of Brain & Body Recess, I felt the difference in intention and craft the moment I arrived. The spa is near Seattle’s waterfront with easy access to Pike Place Market and major tourist paths. Transit is simple: Bus 62 stops close by, and the nearest Light Rail station is University Street Station, about a 6–7 minute walk. The spa is fully wheelchair accessible, and although I love walking down the glass stairs, the elevator leads directly to the spa level for anyone who prefers or needs it. The foot soak room was the quiet MVP—warm, minimal, and grounding. It created a gentle beginning that set the tone for the entire service. The locker room and spa suite area felt thoughtfully curated with herbal tea, electrolyte water, chocolate, cranberries, and grooming essentials. And I want to highlight something special: I was the only person in the suite that housed the sauna, shower, and seating area. It felt like a private wellness escape inside a hotel—almost like having my own healing room at home. That level of privacy and care is rare. Honest moment: The treatment rooms are tucked in the lower level and are average in aesthetic—clean, simple, functional. They could use a touch more visual warmth. But tonal healing doesn’t need pizzazz. The work speaks louder than the décor. Amanda, the spa director, delivered a massage that reflected twenty years of mastery. Her grounded presence, slow transitions, and intuitive technique created a session that went far beyond relaxation. This was restorative work—intentional, precise, deeply supportive. I left with genuine gratitude for her care and professionalism. What sets this spa apart is the longevity and consistency of the team. You feel strong leadership, a strong foundation, and a high level of skill running beneath every detail. This is not an average spa team—this is a team rooted in knowledge and excellence. After my massage, I relaxed in the sauna, used the provided scrub in the shower, sipped electrolyte water, and wrote in the spa journal with old-fashioned colored pencils—a nostalgic, grounding detail that made the experience feel personal and human. This spa is not just a place to be pampered. It is a place to exhale, reset, and feel restored. Five stars for the service, skill, and intention—especially Amanda. If you need a spa that restores your nervous system, not just your muscles, save this place for your next Seattle reset.
Had an excellent experience at the spa! I am a local and always looking for potential spas to enjoy. I was just getting a massage, but pulling into valet (which is complementary when you get a service) I was greeted with a smile and warm welcome and another one at the front desk before I headed down to the spa. Amanda at the spa was very accommodating because my appointment had to move and they gave me another option that worked for everyone. Carmela was the person who I had a massage with and she has amazing technique and got rid of so much soreness. Also found out that there is a very inclusive environment where couples regardless of gender identity can have a changing room together if available and it felt overall very inclusive and warm. Will be back. The offerings of skin care and add ons for the massage are also great.
I had an absolutely lovely Thanksgiving Day spa experience with Falline. Upon arrival, I was escorted to a private locker room (perhaps because it was a holiday, but maybe not) replete with a hot sauna, shower, lockers, and everything I might need to freshen up afterward. After changing into a scrumptiously soft robe, I started with a foot soak and then moved onto a body scrub and wrap. After taking a hot shower to rinse off the scrub, I finished up with a facial and a red light mask. The whole experience with Falline was relaxing and just what I was looking for today. Thank you!
We returned to Hotel 1000 in part because this spa is so wonderful. Ample availability, professional staff, high end products make it easy to book a session. The manager obviously loves what she does and has made both of our appointments special by anticipating and caring for small details to add luxury to our time - heated masks, extra time in the sauna, tea, bath salts for the room…. My only regret is we didn’t book a longer session.
I recently visited a spa and indulged in their massage, body scrub, and facial services, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The massage was deeply relaxing and expertly done. The therapist took the time to understand my preferences and areas of tension, applying just the right amount of pressure. I left the massage feeling completely rejuvenated and stress-free. The body scrub was equally delightful. It left my skin feeling soft, smooth, and refreshed. The scrub had a gentle yet effective texture, and the scent was soothing without being overwhelming. It felt like a full reset for my skin. Finally, the facial was the perfect way to end the session. The esthetician was professional and attentive, using high-quality products that instantly revived and hydrated my skin. My face looked brighter and felt incredibly clean and nourished afterward. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed every part of my spa experience. The staff were welcoming, the atmosphere was serene, and the services exceeded my expectations. I would highly recommend this spa to anyone looking for a complete pampering session.
