The team at Sweatbox absolutely changed my life. The classes are great, always challenging and changing, with amazing coaches providing guidance and support throughout. Working in the Nutrition Program with Chris was the real tipping point. It wasn’t about the weight loss, it’s about making changes that are going to last. She is on your team, helping daily and moving you in the right direction. You will learn how to properly fuel your body & gain a better mindset towards food. She’s truly there for you through with kindness and understanding through every meal and temptation. I can’t express how thankful I am for Chris & the rest of the team! After 4 years out of the gym and multiple (failed) attempts to get myself back in, I decided to join Sweat Box to get that extra push for creating the habit of routinely working out. I’m a person who absolutely despises public gyms and prefers to work out alone and design my own circuits. I cringed at the idea of group classes but just needed to get myself going. Turns out, I love Sweat Box. The circuits are balanced and intense, the group environment is not distracting or uncomfortable, and the coaches are helpful and friendly. I’ve only had one dose of coach Chris but I can tell she will not let you walk away from her gym without seeing results. I would say that the classes are good for all experience and fitness levels, with no pressure or judgement, and as much or as little guidance needed being available. So for anybody who, like me, feels very apprehensive about this style of gym and public gyms, I promise you the reviews are real and you will not feel compelled to run back to your introverted bubble. Highly recommend!
I feel so lucky to have found The Sweat Box. For me, it’s not just about going to the gym—it’s about finding the right feel and vibe. This place absolutely has it. From day one, everyone has been so welcoming, and the coaches truly care. They don’t just stand on the sidelines; they watch your form, encourage you, and push you when they know you can do more. In the moment it’s tough, but afterward, you feel so accomplished. I’ve been going for almost a year now, and I can honestly say I love it. I still struggle sometimes or get tired, but I remind myself—I’m here, and I’m moving. That’s what matters. In August, I decided to take it a step further and joined the nutrition program with Coach Chris. I had the workouts down, but I knew I needed some guidance on the nutrition side. I didn’t want a restrictive “chicken and broccoli” type of plan—I wanted to eat real food and learn how to fuel my body properly. The program, through Precision Nutrition, was exactly what I needed. It’s simple: you log what you eat by snapping photos in the app, and Coach Chris checks in with daily feedback like “great protein,” “more veggies,” or “don’t forget your water.” It’s incredibly helpful and educational. I’ve learned so much about how to think about food differently—and the articles she shares as part of the program are eye-opening. Nutrition really is a science! The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that you can’t just say, “I’m going to the gym, I need to get fit.” You have to commit, start, and keep going—and the rest falls into place. The Sweat Box made that possible for me. You can tell every coach there genuinely cares and is invested in your success and health. If you’re thinking about joining a gym but want something more than just a workout space—this is the place.
I started at The Sweatbox in July 2024 on my husband’s recommendation, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions I’ve made! I began personal training with Coach Alex, who was incredibly supportive and attentive to my concerns. I was initially skeptical about lifting weights, but the Sweatbox team pushed my limits in the best way and helped me realize my true potential. Their fun and challenging workouts always left me feeling happy—and sore in a good way! I also loved the group classes, where I met so many inspiring people who boosted my confidence and made working out something I looked forward to. Unfortunately, due to moving countries, my journey at The Sweatbox had to come to an end. However, after hearing amazing feedback about Nutrition Coaching with Coach Chris, I decided to give it a try—and I’m so glad I did! Despite the time zone difference, Coach Chris was incredibly dedicated and truly invested in her clients’ health. It was only after working with her that I realized how much my meals were lacking in the nutrients my body really needed. After 12 weeks of Nutrition Coaching, I’ve seen great progress in both my health and weight. I highly recommend The Sweatbox—both their fitness classes and nutrition coaching—to anyone who wants to make a real, lasting change in their health. This gym is truly the best in Kitchener! Spacious & clean space, fully equipped, wide variety of classes and workouts, very clean facilities and showers. Owned and run by local family who knows how to run fitness classes. I enjoyed a great kickass workout and had a lot of sweat and the vibe was amazing. The staff were super helpful and attentive. Highly recommended to those who want to experience a great workout and cool & motivating vibe.
