The Sweet Tea Cafe is truly one of a kind. The guy who runs it is awesome - genuinely super cool, and passionate about what he does. And the tea? Hands down the best I’ve ever had. If you’re looking for somewhere unique with great vibes to take someone in Durham, this is absolutely the place - especially when the weather is beautiful and you can just hang out and relax. My boyfriend and I jokingly call it the “forbidden” tea shop because it always seems to be open on days I’m working 😂 but whenever I get a day off, it feels like a little treat. Can’t recommend it enough!

Roman always gives the best vibes and help deciding what to order. The mint is fresh and the mixes of teas and lemonade and fruit flavors are refreshing and bright!

Tea like no other! Such a balanced flavor infused with fruit with a natural flavor and delicately sweetened. Never had tea like this!! Once you have it, you’ll be hooked. Really something special!

So happy to have such a unique and delicious spot in Durham! The sweet tea is amazing and very refreshing on a hot summer day. Roman is so welcoming and talented! The slushees are also a super fun and yummy touch! Highly recommend. We'll be back!

5 Star 5 star 5 star! My roommate, wife and I pulled by this joint, really interested in some cold drinks on a hot spring day and were NOT disappointed. We got the privilege of having Roman himself running this little stand of magic when we came by. We all ordered Tigerz Woodz (half minty lemonade + half romanz sweet tea) and when I tell you that it was the best thing I've tasted in year's? Others have called it liquid sunshine and I agree. Beyond that, he explained the beautiful and loving process behind every batch of tea and lemonade, from a homemade fruit sweetener to using alkaline water. He also was kind enough to allow us to sample some of the lemon meringue drink and I know what im getting the next time I come around. Give this incredible place your business, this summer I hope to see lines for his sweet tea, lemonade, and slushies.
