My vehicle stopped going in reverse so dropped it off after hours. Took almost 2 weeks just to get a diagnosis and repair quote. Then took over a month to fix. Followup was not great. I had to keep calling to ask for updates. If you pay with a credit card, they charge you 3%. That wasn't communicated ahead of time. Cost a small fortune so I hope the quality of the work turns out better than their communication during the process.

My car had problems with the gears; sometimes it wouldn't move forward when I was stopped at a traffic light, or it would move in reverse, ignoring the steering box. I was like that for approximately 4 months and no mechanic was able to fix the problem or they charged me upfront +$2000 because they "assumed" it was a major problem with the transmission. Mr Blue and his team.. They fixed it for me for free because it was just a loose wire on the battery 🥹❤️‍🩹 They took a weight off my shoulders and listened attentively to my problems… Mr Blue was very kind, honest, and considerate. I will always be very grateful with the team of The transmission shop… thank you again guys!!!

Transmission shop rebuilt my transmission a few months ago, its running great!. I thought I had a leak in my transmission lines.blue told me to bring it in they checked everything out everything was fine, turned out to be an oil leak somewhere else but no charge to me and clean professional shop, Preston was very helpful as well.its hard to find a honest shop these days thanks blue for all the help and support

Although I have never had the pleasure of working with you guys my good friend Jason B. Has and I wanted to send a review because you guys are not only a great shop but stand up guys as well. He shared that he had you rebuild his transmission and it was at the end of the 3 year warranty but over the 36k miles. The tranny started having an issue and when he took it in to you guys you determined to rebuild it under warranty even though it’s technically past warranty. I found this to be extraordinary in the times we live in. Hats off to you guys and I hope that everyone in Dallas lines up to have you guys work on their transmissions. Well done!!

I had two great experiences in the last week with The Transmission Shop in Plano. I have a Sierra 1500 that I use to tow a travel trailer. It’s plenty of truck for the job, but I didn’t like that my transmission seemed to run a bit warm. This hasn’t been an issue for trips I’ve taken yet, but I envision going into Colorado at some point, up mountains, and over passes. This is where the shop comes in to play. I had originally planned to install a transmission cooler, But due to my truck’s grill shutters, the technicians told me that this wasn’t the best option, as the transmission cooler would interfere with the operation of the shutters. They offered a great solution: installing a bypass valve, which is a very common upgrade for these GM trucks. The real value came when they paid attention while they were “under the hood”. The tech noticed that my motor mounts were bad. I had suspected an issue like this since I bought the truck used in 2023 because there was always a clunk when I took off from a stoplight, or stopped abruptly. Admittedly, I thought it was just these 6L80 transmissions. Long story short, they were able to replace both motor mounts at a very reasonable price and the “clunking” issue has totally disappeared. Quality work at a very reasonable price. I highly recommend this shop. As a bonus, the shop manager, Blue, gives clear explanations and communicates on time. Thanks, team!
