I re-entered the dance world a few years ago and found my way to Underdog. As an older dancer, I appreciated from day one the inclusive vibe. Although I am among only a few older students, I never feel out of place. My experience with the various teachers had been very positive, they have been patient and supportive. Lauren quickly became a favourite, but they have all been great. :)

My interactions with the Underdog Dance Studio and the Owner Emily have been positive. Emily clearly works hard to get knowledgeable and committed teachers for her students. I also understand that she keeps her Instructors by providing them a living wage and treating them with respect. The few critical reviews I’ve read appear to be outward expressions of the individuals own insecurities often expressed through vague misinterpretations. Keep up the great work Underdog!

My friends and I booked the $25 Intro to Hip-Hop drop-in class with Lauren and had such an amazing time! Lauren was an incredible teacher; so fun, encouraging, and easy to follow. We had a blast learning the choreography and loved taking it home to keep practicing. We immediately signed up for our next intro, drop-in, class with her because the experience was just that good. The class was super inclusive, with people of all ages and all levels, many of whom had zero dance experience, so it felt really welcoming. Just make sure to double-check your class location ahead of time, as they also have another studio at 181 Park Street. Absolutely love this place and would recommend it to anyone!

I started dancing at Underdog 2 years back and it's been the best decision I've ever made. Before discovering Underdog, I had quit dancing a few times because of lack of confidence and feeling like I didn't belong. But at Underdog, everyone was so warm and welcoming, regardless of skill or level, that I instantly fell in love. It really helped me engage with dance in a healthy way and has improved my life in so many ways. I have felt safe and comfortable to be myself and grow with every instructor here. I can't wait to share my love for dance and give back to the community that has given me so much ❤️🥰

I booked 10 classes with Emily at Underdog to learn a custom choreography for our wedding dance and I'm glad I did! We had almost no dance experience but Emily made the learning process fun for us; she was patient and made sure we were comfortable and confident with each move. On the wedding day, everyone cheered so loud during the lifts and we got so many compliments on our dance!!
