This is a beautiful and well designed retreat center. The hosts, Tom and Beth are warm and welcoming! It’s the perfect get away to reset! From Tom’s guided meditations, gourmet meals, and walking trails, this is a must do and so close to KC! I visited with my husband and hosted a yoga retreat! All of my guests had an amazing experience! You will leave feeling refreshed, and spiritually renewed! Thank you Tom and Beth for following your purpose! It is amazing what you are doing. I can’t wait to come back!

Tom, Beth and the team have built a wonderful place to retreat to and they are the most gracious hosts! The trails are beautiful and wind all throughout the property immersed in nature. The accommodations are great. The comments about a “shooting range “ nearby are simply untrue. This is in rural Cass county and , everyone in the area enjoys their land in their own way from time to time! I promise you, if you’re looking for normal rural America nestled in the trees where you can get away from a hectic life the city noise and reset , this place is it hands down! If you want 100% silence , quiet and isolation find a Tibetan momentary in Asia.

I have a 65-year-old female client whose son is a 41-year-old psychologist with a PhD. After 40 years of what by all accounts appears to have been a loving and deeply caring family relationship with both his mother and brother, he abruptly severed ties with them-literally within weeks of the arrival of what amounts to a "mail order bride." I am doing what I can to help this beautiful lady heal from this tragic trauma; unfortunately, the legal profession has very limited reach in matters of this nature. I have suggested Timber Creek Retreat House to her, and I will be updating my review should she take me up on that suggestion.

This was my first retreat and my experience was more beautiful than I would have imagined. Tom and Beth receive you with the warmest of welcomes, Heather prepares delicious gluten free meals, and your room with private bath is spacious yet cozy. The meditation room offers a splendid and tranquil view of the pond that just melts that stress away or at least take your focus away from your daily thoughts. What I enjoyed the most is the perfect balance of solo time and group time, oh and the gluten free cookies! So yummy! Tom and Beth are so very caring and you just feel their warmth and as you are checking out, you're already planning on your next retreat.

Timber Creek Retreat Center is not only a physical space of beauty but it’s also an amazing spiritual, soul searching space. Tom, Beth and their staff will nourish you inside and out through fantastic food, thoughtful conversation, guided meditation, yoga, massage, and spiritual guidance, if you’d like it. I cannot wait until they open up again so I can truly unplug and have some quiet time!
