Signed up for the free first class. Despite some recent negative reviews, I wanted to give this place a chance, as it seemed very similar to a kickboxing gym that I’d belonged to when I lived in NJ. Did not make it past the front desk, due to not having the EXACT hand protection gear that they were selling. While I suppose that I can understand that to an extent, I’ve never gone to an initial class where you were expected to have to purchase gear; I’d imagine that some people come there new to kickboxing and are trying it out for the first time, uncertain if it’s for them. However that was not my situation, I just found it odd. While I didn’t necessarily agree with the gyms policy on what gear you needed to have, I wasn’t going to try and argue it with the trainer, since it was probably something he could do nothing about, as he explained that this was a Title boxing club policy. My issue was with the trainer, who was also apparently the owner of the gym, and the way he was trying to argue with me…he continued to circle back to the email sent explaining what to expect from first class, what was needed, accusing me of not watching it. Kind of in a very berating way. Numerous times I tried to end it and just get out of there, since it was apparent that I wasn’t going to be allowed to take the class. Quite honestly, even if I was able to take the class, I don’t think that id return, just because the owners treatment was so confrontational and abrasive. Again, there were reviews from others who had similar negative feedback about their experiences, so I can’t say that I’m surprised. Nor would I be surprised if he responded to my review, as I saw his rebuttals towards others. Overall, very disappointed in this place, and that they are okay treating potential members in such a belittling way 😕.
I've been training at Title Boxing Arcadia for a few months now, and it's been a fantastic experience. The coaches are knowledgeable, supportive, and push you to improve every session. Whether you're a beginner or more advanced, there's something for everyone. The gym is clean, well-equipped, and has a great community vibe. Highly recommend for anyone serious about fitness or learning the art of boxing.
Absolutely love this boxing spot! The energy is through the roof, with upbeat music that keeps you moving and motivated the entire time. The owners and staff are super friendly and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. The 45 minute class flies by. It’s such a fun and intense workout that you barely notice the time. Highly recommend if you're looking for a high energy, feel good fitness experience!
Very helpful to beginners, you get a great workout and knowledge. I enjoyed my workouts here, but I have since exited the gym. I’m not a fan of some issues I encountered with management. I tore my ACL and they asked me for medical proof or to come in to cancel my membership. Wild that they would ask this considering I couldn’t walk. I literally sent them my mri result, absolutely ridiculous and out of line. I had other issues with management but I digress. After a year of healing, I returned to the gym, because I liked the workout. The coach was great at showing me how to manage my movement better to not hurt my ACL. The second time leaving the gym was straight forward.
From Pandemic to Purpose Due to the COVID pandemic, my gym like many others had closed down. Being a first responder dealing with the stress of the pandemic, it was easy to feel helpless, fatigued, and defeated. I was in need of a healthy outlet and jogging outside the nearby park was getting monotonous. Though joining a boxing gym was intriguing it was intimidating also. I had research several boxing gyms and stumble upon Title Boxing Club Arcadia. They had a 5:30 AM class and it wasn't too far from my house. There was free complimentary session so I took a chance. After the seven minute warm-up, I thought I was going to pass out. I still had eight 3-minute rounds and then ending with seven minute core workout afterwards. Yikes! I had barely made it through that first class and went home to crash for two hours! After recovering, I felt more confident and had more energy. I had not only learned a skill, but strengthen my spirit, soul, and mind. It's been 18 months since that first class and still attending every chance I get. Zane, who was my first instructor would often tell us that if we conquered the morning, then the day is easy. He was right. My purpose has been renewed and spirit strengthen. My day is easier. I have worked with Zane, Jolee, Jaime, Alex, Rob, and Madi who are all amazing instructors and fun to work with. You won't regret it.
