I’ve never been a big gym-goer, but around 18 months ago I made the decision to get off the sofa and sort myself out. I was at a pretty low ebb mentally and physically, but I didn’t want to join a gym where you just turn up, plod about on a treadmill for half an hour (if there’s one available), avoid the weights section because it’s too intimidating or just not bother going at all. Torque provides structured hour-long sessions for up to ten people of all abilities, which you book via the app. That really works for me because once you’ve booked, you’re committed. The coaches are so lovely; they are supportive, encouraging, and not at all judgey. Some of them have questionable music taste, but that’s fine. All the other members are really nice; there’s no attitude with anyone, nobody’s filming themselves for Instagram or preening in a mirror (I don’t think there is a mirror actually) and everyone supports each other. It’s such a lovely community to be a part of. I’ve been a member for about 18 months and have never felt stronger or fitter. If you’re looking for something a bit different (and better) to the usual high street gym, I cannot recommend Torque highly enough.
Joined up for the trial & never looked back. A previous gym goer, I've always struggled to stay consistent. Ive been with torque for 1 year now & never would have made the progress I've made without them. The team are very knowledgeable & encouraging, always happy to go into more details on the exercises when I'm unsure of technique. The program you follow is well thought out & varied throughout the week & so keeps things interesting. The class size allows for that expertise to be shared easily, while also bringing a great community. Highly recommend!
I’d absolutely recommend torque to anyone. After a number of years of doing the same workouts at the gym and not seeing much progress, I realised I needed help to continue progressing. Since having joined torque, I feel stronger, more motivated and feel part of a real gym community. The team at torque always provide the right level of support and the variety of workouts keeps things challenging whilst also fun.
Found the small group PT here incredible. I did a bit of research and visited a few gyms to find a structured way of training. Got a good vibe instantly and am glad I signed up. Having never been a gym type I’ve found it so welcoming, inclusive and very professional. The programme is structured and clear, but also allows for flexibility too. It’s been easy to stay on track and I even find myself looking forward to going! Would definitely recommend, the staff are knowledgeable, patient and motivating and the other members are all great too.
