Update: It took 18 months and working with a neuo-massage PT, along with hiking to rehab my injury. I really liked private lessons from Brenna, her technique and attention to detail are excellent and my body became stronger. I had received a prior injury at another facility and classes with Brenna were suggested by a PT that practices at the True Pilates location. However, Brenna frequently cancelled the morning of or day before class and offered class with Doe. My classes were scheduled every two weeks because I travel 1.5 hours to the location and if I could not take the class as scheduled, it would be a month before I could get to the next one. On the morning of July 12, as I was traveling to VAB for class, another cancellation. So that my trip, time/gas would not be in vain, I accepted instructor Doe as replacement. Unfortunately, that night I developed shooting nerve pain in both heels, especially the right. It was DX as planter fasciitis in both feet. All aspects of my instruction that day in class were similar to those I had performed for two years with the exception using pilates circle device on my feet. PF is extremely painful and very difficult to heal. I could no longer participate in classes. The PT indicated my calves were not prepped for the movement. I had been taking classes for two years without a foot issue. After almost two months without resolution of my injury, I contacted Brenna by text kindly requesting a refund of my account balance: "Good morning hope you're doing well. Could you please send the balance of my account to (address) Thank you." Only fair because I'm unable to return to her classes due to an injury by one of her instructors.
While I am biased, prior taking Pilates at True Pilates with Brenna, I had back pain and stiffness but the flexibility and core strength have increased dramatically and I feel significantly better. Anyone I’ve ever referred, that went to see Brenna and her team, are still going, because they also have those realized benefits.
I started Pilates with Brenna and her apprentices back in the fall of #2020. Within 4 weeks I was feeling better and better. I craved my sessions!
