Michael and Tommy were super helpful. They were clearly knowledgeable about their systems, recommendations, and the devices they were working on. Extremely friendly and had me in and out in the quoted time. Would definitely recommend.
I know what you’re thinking: “those are clearly the before pictures, but where are the after pictures?” Well, my friend, those ARE the after pictures LOLOL! I don’t have photos of the phone before, but you can see the intake receipt where the tech noted the condition as: “Very good. No visible physical damage. Little to almost no cosmetic wear.” About a month ago, it was in my pocket and I ran into a desk, causing a small crack in the outer screen. The phone was still entirely functional, but I thought, since I had insurance, I should get it fixed. So, I made a claim on the website, which directed me to bring the phone to the ubreakifix in Jersey City. The person checking in the device told me that, since there was a scratch on one of the back camera lenses, they would have to replace the whole back glass, as well, which was fine with me since it was all covered by insurance. I was told to come back in 4 hours, which I did. When I came back to the store, they had finished. The tech gave the phone back to me and it worked great. Beautiful. All new outer screen and all new back glass: a brand-new phone. He told me to hang out for a few minutes because they needed to finish some paperwork, and then I could go. After about two more hours of waiting, the tech came out and told me they would need to “unfix” my phone. After my laughter subsided, I realized he was serious. I offered to skip the insurance and pay for it completely out of pocket and was told absolutely not. Yep, they actually TOOK MY PHONE BACK, the one they just spent the entire day repairing and the one that worked perfectly (I had been making calls on it, surfing the web, playing games, etc. for the last two hours) and “unfixed” it. They put the old back glass and the old outer screen BACK ON the phone and gave it back to me, looking just like what you see in the pictures. Now, the outer screen is COMPLETELY non-functional (the one that had previously only had a small crack in it) and the back piece has a giant hole in it and is cracked EVERYWHERE (the one that had previously only had a small scratch on the camera lens). To summarize: I brought a “very good”, completely functional z fold7 into the store to have the outer screen repaired due to a small crack. The store wasted my ENTIRE day, some 10 total hours to give me back a device that, not only was NOT repaired, but was made COMPLETELY NON-FUNCTIONAL. As in, entirely destroyed and not practicably usable. Literally, not figuratively, these CRIMINALS DESTROYED my $2,500 phone and had nothing to say but "I don’t know man, that sucks". Now, I don’t know what the issue was. They tried to explain it to me several times and never gave me an explanation that made any sense. But, if you give a customer back a repaired phone, and the customer doesn’t owe any money, then that’s it. That’s the end of the story. Whatever payment issues or whatever else from that point on is between you and whoever else you need to deal with. The customer is out of the loop at that point. Never mind the fact that I TRIED TO PAY, IN FULL, the repair costs out of pocket right there, with cash. My day was wasted, along with about $100 in gas and $40 in parking, only to have these ABSOLUTE CROOKS DESTROY my $2,500 phone. I’ve filed a complaint with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs (website easily google-able) and I implore everyone else who has been scammed by these people to do the same. For me, this isn’t a big deal and I'm honestly not even angry about it anymore. I went out the next day and bought a brand-new phone. But most people are not as fortunate as I am, and this "business" takes advantage of those people. Let’s get consumer affairs to force them to change their criminal behavior or shut them down.
Michael was so helpful! He fixed my phone in about an hour and gave a great coffee place recommendation for me to go to while I waited. Highly recommend him and his team!
Tomme and Michael provided absolutely wonderful service. They were professional, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was handled smoothly. Their communication was clear, their attitude was positive, and they went above and beyond to ensure a great experience. It’s rare to come across service like this—thank you both for your outstanding work. Highly recommend!
Unfortunately the worst service which I ever had. If you want to be scammed, welcome. I have a screen replacement in my receipt for $350 but nobody did it, when I asked for refund nobody wants to do that. Just be sure that it’s not a good choice!
