I have been training at UP for the past few months with Nelly, the experience has been phenomenal. It's rare you find a fitness environment that is so curated towards the needs of the client. Working with Nelly has changed how I now approach fitness as well as its role in my everyday life. My initial goal was to lose weight, and to find a place that would keep me accountable during the journey. But I now see this as just one component of a more healthy lifestyle. I've learned more about my own body and recovery, I've learned how to properly fuel myself both with food and correct supplementation. I would recommend UP to everyone, I would also recommend working with Nelly as from my experience she embodies the mission and values of UP perfectly.
Joined a few months back and it’s easily the best gym I’ve trained at. The equipment is top tier, always spotless, and never overcrowded. Trainers are knowledgeable and genuinely invested in helping you progress (I did pay for personal training). The place has a focused, no nonsense atmosphere that makes every session count. Price is higher than your average gym, but the quality justifies it.
I have returned to UP as they were fantastic before, nearly 14 years ago, and clearly gone from strength to strength while maintaining a core ethos and achieving consistent results. I was impressed with how smooth the engagement was, from first contacting Steve to getting into the gym and after those goals. Its been the height of professionalism. Paired with an exceptional trainer, Noel, who brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge that had me learning and working in the gym, in a targeted methodical manner. The results show for themselves. I've been impressed with the care and attention to each detail, be that the diet and making sure it worked for me as well as the correct form with every movement so we maximised the time in the gym and subsequent results. I can highly recommend Noel and each of the team in Manchester. Up Fitness Laurence Nekooie My experience during the last three months with 2-3 times work out at UP Fitness Manchester have been absolutely exceeding my expectations. I chose UP Fitness because of the 1-2-1 approach with a designated PT supported by the app to be accountable for food and work out in support of this lifestyle change. Not only did I gain strength, lost the desired and aimed 8kg but I also gained clarity and confidence. I train horses and my core strength and balance are important; after several injuries, I am aware of an aging body and am interested in a long term fitness regime. My designated PT Laurence NeKooie is always responsive to questions, finds settings and routines aiming exactly to improve my fitness to help me improve in my other Sport. My performance went noticeably up in the % I gained with my horses in dressage and I gained success in several Championships. The sessions are always challenging and improving my strength. Engaging with UP Fitness and starting this new fitness regime made me settle in Manchester - we moved a bit over a year ago from Germany and every move (in total 12) takes it time and toll to find a healthy routine. I am aware of my aging body and with 55 years and having been engaged in competitive Golf, Tennis and Riding, my goal is it to age as fit as I can. I am at the right place with a very well chosen PT in Laurence NeKooie. Excited to see to which bodyfat % this journey will take us.
I went into UP and was very hesitant on signing up due to the price and it being a big commitment. My initial push backs were could I spend the money and stick to the training and diet after being a yo-yo with my diet and training for years. My training was Steve Jones he was very friendly and to start with we had a great chat about what I wanted to achieve both in and outside the gym over the next few months. Steve outline my diet plans and training and we got started. Throughout the 12 weeks I struggled with the diet plan and set backs such as holidays and being ill. Steve was with me every step of the way supporting me in the gym and outside if I needed it. Every time I had a good drop on weight I would text him or he would text me to celebrate those little wins. In the gym Steve is amazing he knows when I can push harder but also knows when to not push me so I do not get injured. As the weeks progressed so did the training which maintained at a great level where I could see results but also not too hard that I couldn’t work the next day. What really surprised me is the benefits outside the gym. I have become more confident and very goal driven. My mental health and overall outlook in life has massive change and is a lot more positive. It has also had a huge effect on my work going from an average performing employee to one of the top performers. I am now 20kg lighter after 12 weeks and I have loved it that much I’m going to do another 12 weeks. all the staff are amazing and so friendly and supportive UP Manchester is an amazing place to transform yourself If you are thinking about signing up. stop thinking and do it. If you put in the work it will change every aspect of your life for the better I cannot recommend both Steve and UP Manchester enough they are the hold standard of the fitness industry
