I got recommended this salon by my friend and I’m so glad! I haven’t gotten my nails professionally done in a while due to some past poor salon experiences. I arrived and immediately saw sterilized/brand new in packaging files and felt at ease. Elmira did a wonderful job and I honestly don’t think my nails have ever looked better. She was thorough but never rough and the pressure with the filing never hurt. She was patient with me while I was selecting my color and showed me a few different ways we could get the pink I was looking for. It’s been a few days and I haven’t babied them at all and they look as good as the day I got them done.

I have been coming to Unique Nails for couple of months now this last job they did chipped within a week. I’m aware of the policy being if it’s chips they fix it at no cost however given the price point and people not being able to just show up every week at the nail salon they should really think about the loyalty of returning customers and the disservice it is to having to walk around with chipped nails because of a poor job. They wanted to charge me 8$ per nail to come back since I called to report on the tenth day which surpassed the 7th day again for a person that does not live in downtown Chicago and works a lot this is disappointing.

I would like to start up by saying I will 1000% be returning to this establishment. I only gave it a three star because of the overall experience but the technique and result of my nails were absolutely amazing. very neat very clean very natural. I paid $255 for a pedicure and a manicure and I believe it was worth every penny. my pedicure was great apart from the tech burning/ cutting me with the nail. I did not enjoy the location as far as parking and the GPS kind of take you to a hair salon you have to kinda look around and find the plates and then when you find the place, you have to ring a bill to be buzzed in and so I was ringing the bill and no one was answering so I had to call the establishment twice to one find the building and two get into the building and then when I arrived, I had acrylics on my feet and nails and I was told prior that I would have to get it soaked off and the soak off was $30 for my hands and $10 for my toes so overall I was paying $40 just for the soak off and then the text did not soak my acrylic off. They instead filed them off and I actually had to have an in-depth conversation where I had to advocate for myself in a very extra way because the nail tech was about to add jail over the acrylic, it was almost as if she didn’t want to file it all off or I don’t know, but I just kept asking her if she was gonna soak it off and she just kept saying yeah and eventually, I had to take my hands and ask her to explain to me why there was no soak off happening and why it looked as if she was going to start putting the product over the acrylic which I didn’t want because the whole purpose of investing in a Russian manicure was for the health of my nails and so I didn’t have to associate with the harsh and harmful ingredients that the other nail shops use so she explained to me that she wasn’t gonna take too much off because of the integrity of my natural nails after acrylics, and even though I told her you know, I do want you to take this off, and I understand that my nail may not be as strong or as long but overall I want to take it off and then she just kind of said that she’s not gonna actually soak it off. She’s just gonna follow it off and they don’t have a soak off. They just have a file off, but they called the file off a soak off and so that was just a really strange to me, especially because they were charging $40 but overall everyone was very kind. Very patient and I left really enjoying the results. Also I got $20 off because it was my first time visiting.

I booked a Russian Manicure, which is listed on the website at $100. Since it was my first time, they gave me $20 off. I had already made a $25 deposit, so in the end I paid about $70–$75 plus tips. I was attended by Evgenia A., a nail technician who is extremely dedicated and detail-oriented. Even though she doesn’t speak much English, she made me feel very comfortable and I could tell how much care she puts into her work. She really took her time with every detail, the shape of the nails, the colors, the soft handling to my hand, the cuticle cleaning, everything turned out perfect. The nails, even though they didn’t look exactly like the idea I had when I came in, still turned out absolutely beautiful. And for me, that’s what really matters. I’ll even attach a picture with the inspiration I brought in and how my nails actually turned out. I adore them. The only thing I would suggest improving is paying a little more attention to small customer service details. For example, I asked for water when I arrived and it was brought quite late. It’s not a big deal at all, but little things like that could make the overall experience even better. Overall, I truly recommend Evgenia. She is incredibly talented at what she does, and I will definitely be coming back to her. 🌸✨

I had Sabina (I hope I am saying her name correctly) as my nail tech for a Russian manicure and she did such an amazing job on my nails! She really took her time, paid attention to every detail, and made sure everything looked perfect. I could tell she truly cares about her work and her clients. I left feeling so happy with the end result. My nails look beautiful and I’ve gotten so many compliments already . Highly recommend this nail salon everyone including the front desk staff is wonderful and kind.
