I recently attended my third yoga retreat, and this time, I brought my husband along, who was a complete beginner to yoga. It was an incredible experience that left us both feeling refreshed and excited for future retreats. The atmosphere was so relaxing, and the group was filled with wonderful people who welcomed him with open hearts, making him feel right at home despite his lack of experience. Their warmth, laughter, and love created a supportive environment that eased any nerves he had. Cathy, our instructor, was phenomenal in guiding everyone, especially my husband as a newcomer. Her ability to teach to all learning styles and ability levels shone through as she offered clear instructions and gentle modifications, ensuring he could participate comfortably while still feeling challenged. She made yoga accessible and fun for him, which had him smiling through every session. The food was nourishing and delicious, with the chicken Philly sandwiches being a huge hit—my husband couldn’t stop talking about them! The variety of fresh fruits added a vibrant, healthy touch that kept us energized. The location was perfect, with three hot tubs and a massive sauna that we both loved. He especially enjoyed unwinding in the hot tubs after practice, soaking in the serene surroundings. Bringing my husband to this retreat was a fantastic decision. The combination of Cathy’s inclusive teaching, the nourishing meals, and the joyful community made it a memorable experience for both of us. We’re already looking forward to the next one, and he’s officially hooked on yoga retreats!
The Mindful in the Mountains retreat was so awesome!! From I time I arrived, I felt at home. The food by Chef Matt was amazing, he makes the best twist on a Chicken Phili! The adventures and sense of community with a wonderful group of people, and the guidance of incredibly uplifting Cathy, I started and ended my day with gratitude, mindfulness and yoga. Thank you Cathy at Unite Us Yoga for providing such a truly wonderful experience! I can’t wait for the next adventure!
I have just completed a long weekend beach retreat with Cathy at Unite Us Yoga and her husband Matt, who was our amazing chef for the weekend. This group of women I found to be so loving and kind and all searching for ways to deepen connection with the world and each other. I left feeling elevated after spending time with such a lovely group of souls. As this was my second retreat, I can highly recommend attending any of Cathy’s retreats!
Just returned from Zen in Zion retreat, an excellent adventure! The Lodge was spacious and comfortable, outdoor yoga area superb, indoor yoga area comfy/cozy. The resort pool provided a very welcome break from the heat. Meals were amazing , Thank you Matt! The Itinerary was ambitious ( so much to do in the area) while allowing for some relaxation as well. We hiked, eBiked, shopped, took a sunset UTV tour in the sand dunes. Stargazing was phenomenal. Had yoga and movement sessions to care for our bodies and minds. And of course, a fabulous group of people; new friends and old. This was my 3rd Retreat with UniteUs Yoga and I hope to do more. Thank you Cathy and Matt💗💗
Cathy Yonaitis at Unite Us Yoga and Therapeutics is absolutely amazing!!! I have been practicing yoga with Cathy since 2016. I love the yoga wall in her studio. Cathy used to be an occupational therapist before becoming a full time yoga teacher and studio owner. She continues to expand her knowledge base and recently offered a special workshop just for the feet! I just completed my fifth yoga retreat with Cathy and this lady, as well as her husband Matt, who cooks for us, are pure balm for the soul. Feeling refreshed and rejuvenated!!!
