I have worked with their company on numerous occasions across numerous locations (from norcal to socal) and every single one has been consistently amazing. They are so friendly, helpful and make everything so simple!!
Would have been a 10, the machine was clean and in good shape, but... 1) The propane was not full when I got it, 2) I asked for 48" forks and it came with 42". They did fix it, so good on them which is why they get a 9.
My delivery to my major customer was scheduled and confirmed for the morning of 1/3/2022. My technicians showed up to the site the morning of 1/4/22 and there was no lift delivered. I received no communication from United Rentals there was any issue with the delivery. I called United today for a status as my major customer was unhappy and i had technicians onsite doing nothing as they had no way to get the equipment on the roof. When i spoke to United representative it took him about 15 min to find the rental and did not know why it was not delivered. He said he would call me back. The rep called me back an hour later to tell me they would have the lift delivered around 11:30am today. That is a day and a half late and cost my company money and us to lose money on this job. I expect better service from a major company on a tight schedule project. No delivery with no communication is unacceptable.
I tried to Rent a material lift but according to them I can't Rent it because I'm driving a Uhaul pick up truck. That's crazy since I just want to use the pick up truck to carry that material lift to job site. You don't suppose to have insurance for your tools? Just a big waste of time and money for a service united rental can't provide. You should say this info when I talked to your salesperson on the phone. This is a really bad excuse to make customers only use their pick up trucks. Be careful to use their services!
