Nothing urgent about this facility. Walked in shortly after they opened and they said I needed an appointment and the earliest they could see me was late afternoon. I went to the Iowa clinic and was seen in 30 minutes. Urgent care does not mean 7 hours later. Will not return

I went in with anxiety attack issues as the first thing was that the receptionist was super kind and helpful. Then only waited 5 min before I was called into the urgent care side. The nurse was so so soooo caring and sweet. Then met the dr. Dr Hailey was her name and her student, Sydney. Both very kind very attentive with a great sense of humor to lower my anxiety. Had an EKG done and wasn’t forceful or pushy. Though I’m hoping I don’t have to, I’d Absolutley go here again if need be.

Second Edit: after struggling to breathe for 2 straight weeks I went to Mercy One Urgent Care in Clive and was given a steroid shot and antibiotics for my lungs. Please avoid unity point for your own safety!! They verbatim told me "there's nothing wrong with your lungs" when I had a LUNG INFECTION!!! No one who works at this clinic has empathy for anyone, they've already made up their minds to not believe a word you say! Please go to Mercy One in Clive!! Original Review: A good place to go if you like medical gaslighting. Because I was not sick with what I thought I was sick with, everyone here decided to believe I must not be sick at all and did nothing to help me. I've been coughing up mucus and struggling to breathe and they told me there's nothing wrong with my lungs and wouldn't do a single other thing. I have severe asthma and am still struggling to breathe. Edit: after reading the rest of the negative reviews im even more upset. Unity Point, you know that you are hurting people through your inaction and you refuse to help patients in need anyway. Do better or get a different job because no one at this clinic has is suited to work in healthcare. That should require a basic level of human decency and empathy. Final Edit: EXTREMELY rude behavior from EVERYONE who works here! I tried to report that I have a lung infection that they DENIED so that they might do better for others in the future, and the nurse was extremely rude and clearly on a very high horse. This clinic commits medical malpractice and refuses responsibility for problems they cause/make worse. AVOID AVOID AVOID if you care about your health and have self respect!! They REFUSED to give me the names of the staff who mistreated me, intentionally preventing me from reporting them to the iowa board of medicine! Abysmal treatment from everyone here, none of them should be involved in the medical field in any capacity! Unity point, you are knowingly abusing people! DO BETTER!! I will be contacting a lawyer about this.

First off, this “urgent care” cannot even provide a basic level of care. I came in with an issue that absolutely could be resolved at an urgent care clinic and they said they weren’t able to help. Second, both the front desk and intake nurse said they could solve this issue, and only after sitting in the office for multiple hours was I told by the PA Hailey they couldn’t help. No one at this clinic has a clue what’s going on. They need to get their act together. Until then I DO NOT recommend anybody go here. You WILL NOT get help.

From the front staff, to clinical staff everyone’s very welcoming and caring! Was able to get in quick and see an ARNP who was able to answer all of my questions, and was very thorough. Highly recommend unitypoint urgent care in urbandale to anyone!
