The veterinarians and staff at this clinic are excellent. I’m very pleased with their services.
They have always taken exceptional care with my fur babies. And, the most important feature that keeps me coming back is their professionalism. They listen.
Best vet experience and care. VCA Natomas came highly recommended to me by my sister. I'm thankful for their services and gentle presence with my dog. She gets nervous at the vet but they go the extra mile to ensure her comfort--and mine! They go above and beyond and take my dog's health seriously. All staff is highly professional, super qualified, and very kind. I highly recommend this center.
I have been a client here for 7+ years, have taken 4 pets of my own as well as other family pets and I wont spend 1 more dollar here. Negligence is an understatement! On July 18, my dog was in some sort of pain. I took him to VCA Natomas and the exam went fine. We were sent home with meds. The next day his symptoms included wobbly walking. I replied to the follow up text message within 1 minute of receiving it. 5 hours later they texted me “my Apologies, the Drs have gone home for the day, they will be back in the office tomorrow morning @ 9am. but per Dr X if clinical signs persist or worsen then the next step is x-rays.” The next morning, July 20, I finally spoke to someone from VCA Natomas and they told me to take him to the emergency vet, VCA Mueller, immediately and I did. 5 hours later, he is seen by the emergency vet only for me to be told that it’s been too long and surgery would no longer be an option for him and they recommended that I put him down. At that point, he was paralyzed in the back with no deep pain sensation. Mind you I waited hours for a response from VCA Natomas and hours to be seen by VCA Mueller and should have never been sent to VCA Mueller anyway because he needed a neurologist. On Monday we followed up and were seen by VCA Natomas, where they at least had some advice and things we could try. We were sent home with steroids. Other than a text message the next morning, and despite being told we were on a call list to check up on, we have never heard back from them. 😢 Luckily, I took him to another downtown vet that same week. It’s been 20 days and under her care he regained bladder function, then deep pain, is now standing up, and is very close to walking again. VCA took hundreds of dollars from me for nothing and almost put down a pet that was going to make a full recovery! To top it off, our second dog has a trachea issue that requires meds as needed. I refilled this prescription just 3 weeks ago. When I tried to refill it yesterday, I received a message that his annual exam was outdated as of 8/5 and the refill would likely be declined. Really VCA? They could have told me this 3 weeks ago when I picked up the prescription and made an exam appointment then! I am struggling to understand how the standard of care is so low, that you would let a dog whom has been under your care since he was a puppy, struggle to breathe because an exam is 5 days overdue!?!? Don’t worry VCA, we won’t be returning!
My cat Mr. Tinker lost a tooth. Several months later he had a few days of not being able to eat comfortably. I asked the vet to do an exam/xray on his jaw to see if something got stuck in his empty tooth area. They set me up with care package and did an xray on his stomach. Said they didn't see and lumps on his jaw. 8 months later his jaw started swelling. He had cancer. He lost his life a few months later. I'm so upset they didn't do what I asked and expected in the first place. He would most likely still be alive. I lost my companion pet and my dearest love. I spent $87 a month and they didn't save my buddy. Never again.
