Absolutely brilliant restaurant. The food was out of this world and the waiting staff were very attentive. 100% recommended
This restaurant was like a movie set! I’ve never experienced anything quite like it. They really set the atmosphere as if you’re sitting in a cobbled street somewhere in Italy. It was absolutely magical. Now, for the food: It was absolutely delicious! We had a soup and bread for starters and when I say this bread is unlike anything we’ve ever had in entire lives, I mean it! Me and my partner have actually been to Italy around lake como and the bread at Villa Italia absolutely trumped it. I fear I’ll never eat bread like that ever again. For dessert we had the crepes and again, it was absolutely delicious. We practically inhaled it within 30 seconds. We are here in Northern Ireland for a city weekend break and we would literally come back here just for that restaurant. Whatever they’re doing and whoever they have running the kitchen, please don’t ever leave or change a thing because it was perfection. Thank you very much for an amazing, special evening!
Had to write this while still here enjoying the whole experience! Villa Italia NEVER fails to disappoint. After traipsing round Belfast on a Sunday afternoon Christmas shopping, Villa Italia has just hit the spot. Linguine with meatballs and tomato basil sauce and pepperoni, mushroom and onion pizza. Delicious. The only place I can say the pizza is always served hot straight out of the oven. Guys … keep doing your thing!! I’ve been coming here since this place opened - I’m now 61. Fab-u-lous. Paula and Paul ❤️
Booked a table for 2, arriving a few minutes early and had read the menu and picked our options before arriving, allowing us to order as soon as we were greeted and seated. After being seated, a large party was sat next to us, being rather loud and the waiters having to squeeze past us to serve this table, at one point during our meal even bumping my arm while I held a slide of my pizza. The food was lovely, with very little waiting time from ordering, starter then main. I opted for Arancini balls as my starter, which was lovely and was served at a perfect temperature. The pesto mayonnaise they were served with was a bit bland. For my main I opted for the Giardiniera pizza, substituting the onion for sweetcorn. I expected it to be served heavy on the oil side and was pleasantly surprised when it was just right. The only bad thing I can say about the pizza was that I felt the tomatoes base was quite bland, everything else about it was great. Service wise, the guys that looked after us were very good at their job, putting a smile on our face. We were approached by one of the servers maybe 30 seconds after our starters had been left with us if our food was okay, we hadn't even lifted our cutlery at this point, leaving us a bit confused. Overall I think we will be back again, but we will definitely be asking for a quiet table if it was available. 2 Starters, 2 Mains, a normal cola and a jug of orange juice was £54.55 so I would say it was reasonably priced
When this place is nearly going longer than yourself you know it can’t be too bad at all. Returning here year after year - prefer their simple pasta dishes over the more exotic ones. Pizzas also worth trying out. Busy busy place attentive staff- will always be back !
