Wag is my dog's happy place. He is more animated there than he is at home! (I try to not take that personally). He loves the people there, and they love him. It's wonderful to know he is relaxed and enjoying his time even as his family goes about our daily duties. When we pick him up, he's tired, but happy. We (including our pooch) feel really lucky to have found a place where he thrives every day.
Appreciate the daily pictures & the baths! Both our dogs came back utterly exhausted! That says a lot, considering they’re both huskies. They both had a great time here! Thank you so much for taking good care of them. We’ll definitely be back here!
Our little man spends days here when Dad is out of town, and boarded for a week while the family got away this summer. Boy was on a hunger strike from missing us, and they called to let us know and offer meal toppers to get him through. He really bonded with them and couldn’t wait to go back for day play after the shock of not being picked up for a week. That was a really good surprise. The staff is wonderful. Everyone loves animals, they learn your name and your pet’s name quickly. Drop off used to take a while and could be frustrating, but they streamlined this recently with valet-like service. It’s a God send for anyone needing to get to work on time. They have treats and toys and outfits for purchase in the lobby. We also get a daily picture of the pup having playtime, and it’s easy to book stays in the app. I just wish the “keep me logged in” feature worked. All in all, we love Wag Hotels.
Unless you hate your animal- I do not recommend booking an overnight stay at this place. We recently boarded our dog on 8-14 to 8-19. I had emailed Wag Hotel about this stay and never got a return email about it so here is the review… Upon pick up our dog smelled so incredibly bad. He had dried poop all in the fur of his back side. His chest was wet and dyed a green/blue color. He had redness along his collar and backside on his skin. He had recently had a growth removed from his front paw and came with a cast/wrap. I had called twice to confirm it was ok to bring him in with it wrapped and was told it was ok as long as we booked the specialized care program which we did. His cast looked like it had been wet as well. Upon drop off- I again confirmed he was ok to be there and we were told everything would be ok. I left his cone with him and told the staff as long as someone is watching him- he doesn’t need it on but when he’s alone he should have it on. It seemed like it was left on the whole weekend. He had matted hair all along his collar area. It was so bad we had to shave off the matted area. He also had a lot of food left over and is a good eater so I’m wondering if he was expected to have the cone on for meals too. My husband and I were surprised he was so dirty when we paid for specialized care- we thought he would have been better taken care of. If we would have known we would have cancelled his stay and had a friend stay with him. Which we had actually tried to do but were told it was too late to cancel when we did and if we did cancel there was a large fee associated with it. When we got home we had to spend the afternoon bathing him and brushing his fur. A very disappointing experience considering we have dropped him off here multiple times before.
We have 2 dogs going to wag. Our little girl stays on the roof top for all day play which she extremely loves but our little boy (being reactive to other dogs) is in the one on one program. We were told that he is let out twice a day for 15min each. He may be reactive to other dogs but he seems to love the humans at wag. He gets so sad in the room all alone for so long and the amount of time he’s let out is just not enough for his breed. It would be nice if he had more interaction with people or is let out for a longer period of time or more often. He gets super anxious when we get there now and doesn’t want to leave my side. We just wish he would get more attention in the 10hrs that he’s there daily. If we find another place that can accommodate him we will for sure take him out of wag. Again, yall are great for all day play but for dogs that need special care, yall can do a lot better.
