In one word: inaccessible. Wilson used to be a great climbing gym but in the past year or so, it's gotten progressively more headache-inducing. First, the main entrance closes so you have to go on a side quest through the fitness centre to get there — okay, fine, annoying but not the end of the world. Then they stop accepting payment inside the gym and make you go to the VVC customer service desk where you have to trade your driver's license for a pass if you're not a student — annoying, but I'll deal. But now, they're not allowing customers to bring jackets or bags inside the gym?? I had to put all my stuff inside a change room locker (which I didn't have a lock for and didn't want to pay extra to get one) where it easily would have been stolen, and walk back to the climbing gym carrying all my gear. Genuinely what is the point of this?? Why do I have to jump through hoops to climb here? Open the main entrance and let me put my backpack somewhere, please. The only reason I'm not giving 1 star is because the highwall is pretty good and the staff are chill.

The quality of the climbing here has been declining in recent months. Bouldering routes are rarely reset, and the experience is very inconvenient as a result of recent changes to the door access and payment points. The new mats in the bouldering area are appreciated, but the experience is genuinely inconvenient.

This climbing gym is perfect for beginners in the bloudering part! It's small and cozy, and the routes are easy to follow. The price is affordable, and the climbing walls are just the right size.

Friendly, and knowledgeable staff. Fun and interesting sport routes and bouldering projects for all types of climbers. Great place to learn. Spring floors in bouldering area are very hard which leads to dangerous conditions when falling or jumping from any point on the wall.

Plenty of walls for bouldering, no traverse option like vertically inclined in the south end. 6 levels of difficulty, so you're bound to find something at or above your comfort zone. I was very busy from 2-4pm, but climbers were very polite and let others go before attempting again.
