Absolutely amazing from start to finish 🤍 Yamagen — incredible food, beautiful presentation, and flavours that seriously wow. Service was warm and attentive without being over the top, and the atmosphere just makes the whole experience feel special. One of those meals you keep thinking about after you leave. Can’t fault it. Will 100% be back

Oysters were amazing, truffle dressing was excellent. Red emporer was excellent, very fresh and delicious. Edamame was nothing special. Shiso pretty and pear whisky sour were both great. Third oyster came out separately after the starters and was pretty good (it is a cooked oyster despite being under the “raw” menu header). The tartare wasn’t bad, I did find it very creamy and saucy and the ratio was a bit off where there was more cornichons and capers than there was beef. Chips were tasty but a bit thin and quite oily. Gyoza were good, the mustard miso sauce was really delicious. We asked if the tuna and avo roll could be a tuna and cucumber roll because my partner is allergic to avocado and they said no which seemed a bit silly. How hard is it to substitute avocado for cucumber? Anyway, we just had the plain tuna which took a long time to come out (20+ mins after we finished previous courses) and whilst flavour was nice, I didn’t like the texture rather than being chunks or raw tuna it was like a paste. Server was lovely. Drinks were great. Reasonably priced for the quality.

The food was 10/10, drinks were 10/10 and the service from Davi was exceptional. When we come back we will be requesting him again, his knowledge of the food and drinks was so extensive I was impressed. Was very bright and not “moody” enough. However that is the only note I have, the

Absolutely extraordinary! Everything from the service to the food was perfect. Starting with our wonderful waitress Isabella, she was knowledgeable, engaging and made the experience fun. Isabella navigated us through the menu as well making brilliant drink recommendations including the sake flight, a lovely warm sake, some perfectly matched wine and then a yuzu aperitif to end the evening. And then the food, wow. It’s impossible to pick a favourite but the oysters with truffle dressing and snapper were definitely a highlight. As was the wagyu beef sirloin and tempura Brussel sprouts. But the standout has to be finishing with the Katana dessert, the artistry and flavour were incredible. Thank you for a wonderful evening

The food was delectable, melting and bursting with interesting flavours 🤤 I recommend you try Sake in a box!! The decor was so gorgeous, it had that intimate feeling, Japanese chic... bamboo trees, every thing well thought out. There was a space for the chef to showcase his gift. It wasn't noisy where we were. The service was attentive and so friendly, his name was David I believe may have been French or Spanish. Despite a disaster of a date, I have fond memories of Yamagen ❤️
