Had a wonderful experience with Taylor he went above and beyond to take care of me and my small family again. I thought I was going to have to replace a charger port after my friend set my phone and mashed potatoes instead it was a simple cleaning. This is the second time I’ve been to this shop in the service has always been above and beyond especially with Taylor. He also repaired my son’s PS five a few years ago. I love this place. I would give them 10 stars if I could Taylor needs a raise.
I have been a customer since about 2017. Timeline for context: December 5 had dropped off around 4:30 PM. For a scree repair, other wise the iPad was 100% functioning. December 7 call to check on status of the iPad, I was told it was ready for pick up December 11th iPad pick up. The iPad was not charged. December 12th screen is detached so I called to ask what to do, I am told to bring it back in. Dec 14th picked it up. No charge for Me to check iPad function. Black glue around the screen. When asked, I am told I can remove with fingers. So I grab the iPad and leave. Dec 15th iPad just shows Apple logo unable to turn on even if plugged in. See video attached. Dec 16 call, explain the issue and I’m Told to bring the iPad back. Dec 23rd, I call in the morning, speak with Taylor, I am told he will call me back with a diagnosis. No call until I call back at 17:15. To check in and understand what’s going on. I am told, by Taylor, in a beyond non friendly tone that the iPad is not looking good, I ask for further explanation. And I am told that is possible that the NAND is broken, that I was told that the iPad was functioning when given back to me, which is not true. Your employee was beyond rude when I am just trying to check on the status of my device. Asking questions about my device; told me that Paul was going to reach back out when they are back from the holidays. December 27th, nobody reaches out, so I chose to call around 11 am. Paul has told me that nothing can be done to repair the iPad , that there is hardware damage (which is not the reason why I brought the iPad in for). And that a refund would be offered, with giving me back a non functioning iPad. Dec 30th: still no Ipad. Since you don’t offer a contact form on your site, not sure what to do but resource to this. All I know is that I brought in a functioning device for screen repair and now I must walk away with a hardware damaged device? At no point between December 5 and December 23 did I have possession of a functioning iPad following your repair. Under Texas law, a repair shop that takes possession of customer property owes a duty of reasonable care and is required to return the item in the same or better working condition. When property is returned damaged or nonfunctional, liability is presumed unless the shop can affirmatively prove the damage was not caused by its work. A cracked screen does not render a device nonfunctional, nor does it explain immediate post-repair failures involving power cycling or logic board issues. The timing and nature of the damage strongly indicate improper repair, handling, or reassembly. Accordingly, I am formally demanding the following, to be resolved upon of receipt of this letter: Full reimbursement of the amount paid for the screen repair; and Compensation equal to the fair market value of the iPad at the time of repair or a replacement device of equivalent value. If this matter is not resolved within a reasonable timeframe, I am prepared to pursue all available remedies, including filing a complaint with the Texas Attorney General under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, initiating a chargeback with my payment provider, and seeking relief in Texas Justice Court. I prefer to resolve this matter amicably and without escalation. thanks guys!
Hmmm odd that I see so many 1 stars. I know each persons situation can be different. As for me I have had my phone repair here twice and two different phones. The service isn't cheap but not as high as others. And both times I have had great work done and at a two hour max turn around. Most places give you the run around and we need to order this and that. These guys had it in stock and I have had no complaints. And now days being without your phone feels like death. So they have saved my life twice with great work and gods speed. 5 stars all the way or 10 stars for both times 😁.
If you have water damage due to your phone submerging in water dont go here. I had water damage, took it here and they just replaced a screen and supposedly cleaned the inside. Now my phone is still having the same issues and they did not want to refund me my money back. The worker was in autopilot mode (his words) and went through the process without letting me know about that if there was damage inside the chip then it wouldn't be able to be fixed. Charged me 220$ for that and my phone is still having the same issues and now its overheating. I had to file a claim to get my money back. Just be careful when looking to get your phone fixed at a third party place. Get it checked by apple then do the decision to get it fixed somewhere else. Just a heads up to anyone visiting the area. Low price doesnt always mean good quality fixing. Cant attach photos but when I have the option then I will, its crazy how much they charge for so low quality service. Keep in mind that I was visiting so imagine the hassle to fix my phone, felt very scammed.
Tl:DR They damaged my phone while repairing the screen, then two weeks later when the screen stopped working they refused to honor the warranty. Unless you like filing disputes with your bank, get your phone repaired elsewhere. About two weeks ago, I went to repair my broken phone screen here. Outside, they have a big sign that said lifetime warranty and I asked them about this. They explained that the warranty covered the screen and any problems that weren't caused by user error (water damage, dropping it, etc. etc. etc.). That seemed eminently reasonable so I got it repaired. Immediately after it was repaired, FaceID stopped working. They apologized about this but I understood an since my screen was working and I understand that apple products aren't the most repairable, I was happy with my now mostly functional phone with a working touch screen. About two weeks later, my phone screen stopped responding. I brought it in, expecting them to honor the warranty and the employee working there refused. He took my phone from me, wiped it and then insisted that there was a "giant scratch" and they couldn't fix it. I looked carefully and asked him to show me the scratch and I couldn't see a thing. While I understand he was just doing his job, he was incredibly rude and accusatory -- refusing to give me the phone number of the store owner so I could talk to him. I ended up calling other location and speaking to the owner John. He was incredibly aggressive and rude, repeating that my phone had a "giant scratch" -- a patently untrue statement that they clearly are making to avoid having to honor the terms of their service. Since I've seen the owner respond to these comments with similar accusations, I'm attaching photos of the phone with the supposed "giant scratch" -- clearly unblemished.
