A year after a power point had tripped, and blew my modified, full-spec secondhand Mac, I found Mark at Affordable Computer Repairs. I was desperately hopeful that it could be repaired, as I’d only had it for less than 1 month, and given I bought it specifically to use for 4K video production, buying a new one with all the extra RAM, graphics, and storage I needed was just completely out of reach for me. Mark didn’t make any sweeping promises, but instead clearly explained the two main issues it could be and how he would approach fixing it (depending on what was wrong with it). A few days after dropping my computer off, Mark contacted me with the good news- my computer was 100 percent fixable! It was such a relief knowing I could finally get some use out of my investment, and that I hadn’t just wasted a large sum of money on a second hand computer. While some reviewers have complained about Mark’s prices, I found them really reasonable, and I truly believe you get what you pay for. In this case, Mark’s expertise was well and truly worth it. For anyone sitting on the fence about where to get their computer repaired, I highly recommend contacting Mark. He’s diligent, thorough, very knowledgeable, and highly professional, and he keeps an open line of communication every step of the way.

I called to discuss a laptop screen replacement and was advised against the repair. Mark really took the time to talk to me about the issue and why he thought it would be better to purchase a new laptop. I really appreciated the honest advice, thanks Mark.

Mark was honest with his assessment of the job, and upfront in the costs of the repair. I used Mark some three years ago, and had a need to come back to him this month in Aug. 2024. the service offered and supplied was as always, first class, honest and up front on the issue. it is great when a business keeps going with the same character and quality that makes you want to come back again and again, not that I like having computer repair issues, but at least you know you have found someone you can trust

I'm located in Melbourne and found this business after searching on google and i sent an query to get a quote on an insurance report for my damaged laptop. Mark was proactive and provided high level options and advice before I sent the laptop to him. He produced a comprehensive assessment report in a timely manner. I highly recommend his service.
