I had a great experience getting set up at the gym thanks to Romeo who helped me. He was very patient and made the whole sign-in process smooth. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I was comfortable with the setup before I got started. It really made a positive first impression, excellent customer service!

I had a very disappointing experience at Anytime Fitness on Friday, March 29, 2026. I came from Montreal with a friend who has a membership. After our appointment at the U.S. Embassy, we decided to train. Since I don’t have a membership, my intention was to go inside and purchase a day pass. Before going in, I even called the gym and no one answered, so I assumed it was fine to go in and speak to someone directly. When we entered (around 9:30 AM), it was extremely cold (around -12°C), so waiting outside wasn’t reasonable. As soon as I walked in, an older man followed me and aggressively questioned why I didn’t “scan a key,” even after I explained I was there to buy a day pass. He then brought me to a staff member who, despite being present before official hours, was quite rude and immediately assumed I was being dishonest. I even showed him that I had called beforehand and got no answer, but he still said he didn’t believe me. I was told I should have waited outside until 11 AM. Ironically, the staff member was already inside earlier than opening hours, training his girlfriend. I still purchased a day pass, which proves my intention was genuine from the start. What made the situation worse was the accusatory tone and lack of professionalism. I was essentially treated like I was trying to sneak in, and my friend was even threatened with a $250 fine, which felt excessive given the circumstances and misunderstanding. Overall, very poor customer service and a lack of basic courtesy.

The gym is clean and well maintained. I was able to use a variety of machines. There are message chairs to relax after a workout. Overall, a very welcoming place for beginners.
