A truly one of a kind steak house which served excellent steaks and delicious sides in a historic venue dedicated displaying all measure of “Canadiana”. Group of 7 paintings and newspaper clippings from the day of confederation adorn the walls of the cozy and atmospheric building which itself is a historical site. We have the porterhouse rare which was cooked and seasoned to perfection, alongside Rockefeller oysters, loaded baked potatoes, frites, and complimentary picked vegetables, all of which were excellent and individual highlights of the meal. Garlic bread is a must have both for its quality, steakhouse tradition, and frankly being the best value-‘indeed pick on the menu. Old fashioned was unadorned but good, as befits a steakhouse of its calibre. Prices reflect both the quality and unique setting, but I would still highly recommend everyone living or visiting Toronto try at least once for a special occasion.

Hands down the best New York Strip steak you'll get in Toronto. I've visited ever high end steak house in the city and nowhere cooks their steaks as true to order as Barbarians. Cooked on an open flame that adds flavour like no other. I'm not much of a French fries person but I can't get enough of the fries at Barbarians. They oysters are fresh and the escargot are delicious. If you drink wine, you'll find one of the most extensive wine lists to choose from. The atmosphere is very old school as it is an old cottage converted to the restaurant. If you haven't been and you love great steak, this place is a must!

Had a great first experience at Barberian’s. Came here as a walk in during a busy holiday season but the manager was still able to accommodate with very little wait time. The french onion soup was not that good. However, the rib steak was cooked perfectly and was very tender. The servers were all very attentive. Would recommend reserving ahead of time as it gets busy during dinner time.

Had a nice welcome in experience , it took them a little bit to find our reservations but we were sitted pretty fast. We had the Onion soup and the soup of the day. Fillet Mignon and 24oz steak, which i cant stress enough how GOOD it was. For desert we had the Barberian Chocolate House Mousse which i do recommend with coffee. My honest suggestions is dont shy away from side dishes, they are great addition from tasting variety and pallette. As far as atmosphere, the late night crowd might get a little bit noisy but not intrusive in my opinion. My recommendation is to make sure to make a night out of it for sure.

It’s a good spot for traditional steakhouse experience. Attentive servers, old-fashioned decor, delicious steak and cozy vibes. Highly recommended for a date night only thing the lighting might be a little bit too dark.

With a welcoming lounge and dining room, attentive service led by professionals like Preston, and options for catering and events, it provides a memorable atmosphere for any occasion. The restaurant consistently earns praise for its quality ingredients, precise cooking, and warm hospitality, making it a top choice near Toronto Pearson Airport.
