The food was delicious. The hot jam chicken had the perfect bite from the spicy jam, the chicken breast was tender and juicy while the biscuit was perfectly buttery. The pancakes had the most unique texture with the perfect lightness and slight crust. I would highly recommend.
Visited this place on Sunday, 01/18, and it was absolutely worth it! Definitely plan to arrive about 30 minutes early since it gets packed quickly. Pro tip: try to find a seat near the bar—no need to be on the waitlist. The staff is super sweet and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The coffee was excellent; I tried the mocha and loved it. The food was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The hot jam chicken was delicious, the breakfast potatoes were amazing, and the crispy chicken was really good as well. On top of that, the prices are very affordable. Highly recommend this place—great food, great coffee, and great vibes!
Only breakfast place I went to in Lexington, but extremely great food. No Sysco generic food here. Hot Jam Biscuit was some of the best friend chicken I've had. The potatoes side was far better than hashbrowns. Lightly fried perfect while retaining the creamy texture of the potatoes inside, covered with a generous layer of parm cheese & black pepper. The food came out quickly, waitress was nice, and the coffee was good. Highly recommended.
We make homeade biscuits and gravy at my house, we have for years, and we cannot order it hardly anywhere else because it's always sub par. This biscuit and gravy was fabulous!! I guess it has a country ham grease base, for a little more punch of a taste, cant say enough good about it, pancakes where terrific (order extra syrup on the side), the chicken and biscuit had all kinds of great flavors going on, perfect biscuit, little spicy, sweet to. Loved it all, and came here based on a tik tok review (Nik Metcalf). He was right, and it was worth the hour drive for me.
We were seeking out a new brunch restaurant. Beau’s has been on my list to try for a while. We had time to travel across town so decided to give it a try. They were packed but we grabbed a couple seats at the bar because it was open seating. Our waitress was genuinely friendly and we liked being able to see the food come out the window. I ordered the Hot Jam Chicken Biscuit with a medium egg on top with a side of bacon. My husband ordered the buttermilk pancakes. My food was great, with the addition of the egg. I feel like the dish would have been very dry without the egg. The biscuit was served with a salad on the side. Honestly, my favorite part of the entire meal was the salad dressing on the salad. I asked the waitress, and she said it was a Champagne Vinaigrette and I complimented the flavors. It was tangy and perfect and cut the heaviness of the biscuit. She laughed and said she told the Chef that he needed to bottle and sell it. My bacon side didn’t arrive until about 5 minutes after the food. The waitress apologized a couple of times. I ordered the bacon flimsy. When the waitress sat it down, she said “that doesn’t look flimsy to me so let me know if you want some more”. It was between flimsy and crispy, so I just kept it. A different waitress brought a second round of bacon a couple of minutes later. I told her I had already received the bacon so she took it back. We tried the Breakfast Potatoes and it was good but a bit greasy. My husbands pancake was unusual, in a good way. It had orange zest in it, which added a very different flavor than a “typical” pancake. The drink I got was super yummy as well. Overall, good and I would recommend you try it. However, I wouldn’t go out of my way to go again, and it was expensive for what you actually received.
