Hello, Unfortunately, I am writing to share a very disappointing experience I had today while attending a class at Breathe. Before the class had started, my friend quietly asked me a brief personal question regarding a family member of mine who is currently in the hospital. The exchange was extremely brief—only a few whispered words. Despite this, we were immediately shushed. When I softly replied with a single word (“good”), a man who identified himself as an employee of the studio (his name is Daniel) loudly reprimanded us. He told us we were being disrespectful and suggested that if we wanted to talk, we should “go get coffee instead of being here.” I found this response completely disproportionate and unprofessional, especially given that there were other individuals in the room having full conversations who were not addressed. Being singled out in this way felt personal and uncomfortable. If noise was truly a concern, this could have been handled politely and discreetly rather than through public confrontation. If this individual is indeed a staff member, I am extremely disappointed that this is how situations are handled. The behavior was unnecessarily aggressive and has made me question whether I feel comfortable returning to the studio. Additionally, I was also disappointed by the requirement to provide my photo in order to attend class. I expressed that I was uncomfortable with this, yet was told it was mandatory. This felt invasive and unreasonable, and I do not believe it should be a requirement for participation. Overall, this experience was upsetting and far from what I would expect from a studio that promotes mindfulness and respect. Unfortunately, due to this incident, I am strongly reconsidering returning in the future. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope you will take this feedback seriously.
