We've been using Brian since 2022 for our personal taxes (state and federal). We had interviewed 4-5 accountants when our previous tax preparer decided to focus on business taxes only. We have nothing but praise for Brian. Previously, we would always drop off all of our documentation to our old accountant and sit back and wait. Brian, on the other hand, has a very modernized way of doing things. Now, we log into his website (he uses TaxDome software) and go through what amounts to a step-by-step "interview" where we answer questions and upload supporting docs as we step through the process (Taxdome refers to it as Organizer). Once you've verified all the questions have been answered and supporting docs have been uploaded, you click Submit. At that point, you receive a message letting you know he's received your info. A few days later you'll get a message letting you know they've done a quick review to verify they have everything they need and that it's been placed into a queue. A few weeks later you'll get notification that your draft is ready for review, along with a link to schedule a 30 minute call to go over any questions you might have about the tax docs. It's a very streamlined process and the automated messaging is a nice touch. And once he receives payment, he's been quick to file our state and federal taxes and send us a message indicating that's been done. He and his staff are very responsive when you message them as well. If you're looking for an accountant to do your individual taxes, you can't go wrong with Brian.
