We had a fantastic experience with Create Art Studio for our collaborative team painting workshop. Echo and her co-facilitator Trixie were great. They were engaging, adaptable, and brought such positive energy into the room. They made the experience easy and enjoyable for everyone, and went above and beyond to help with setup and cleanup, leaving the space in great shape. The session created such a positive, connected atmosphere for our team, and the artwork we created together was a beautiful reflection of that. We are very grateful to Stu, Echo, and the entire team and would happily recommend this experience to other organizations. We would love to work with Create Art Studio again.

I signed up for the intro to pottery class, a second time as I really like the course structure of exploring multiple techniques .The class is well organized with wheel , hand building , trimming and glazing lessons. Thomas is personable, professional and perfect in every way...his instructions and demonstrations are clear so you can implement them easily. When you need help he steps in and shows you how to "save" your piece making you feel great about whatever you create. The sessions are not repetitive, so even if you take the classes again you will continue to learn and enjoy every minute.

I just finished a 6 week long beginner watercolour class with Stu and had a great experience! I took a class with the City of Toronto last year and was disappointed with the lack of instruction, which lead me to search for a local studio to better find what I was looking for. Create was lovely and exactly what I was looking for. Stu was very professional and skilled and created a really lovely low-pressure environment to start out my watercolour journey. The first class was a useful intro to colour theory, and each class afterwards was a different project that Stu would paint along with us to demonstrate new techniques as needed. I came home with some really lovely paintings and am definitely looking forward to another session to continue learning! An added bonus is that the setup and cleanup of materials is taken care of, so the full class is spent on actual painting.

My partner and I took the 6-week pottery class and we loved it! It was great to experiment with different moulding techniques, and not just the wheel. Thomas was our instructor for the 6 weeks and he was fun, energetic, and very personable. He did an amazing job teaching the class and walking us through the techniques in a way that was easy to understand and follow.

I had such a great time taking pottery classes with Thomas. He is highly skilled, friendly, and really good at explaining things in a way that made sense for everyone, no matter your experience level. Each class was fun and really hands-on. We went through all the steps of pottery — from working the clay on the wheel and hand-building, trimming, and glazing. Thomas made sure we understood what we were doing at every stage. He was always patient and happy to help out when something didn’t quite go as planned! I left the course with a few pieces I’m really proud of and a whole new appreciation for pottery. Definitely recommend taking a class with Thomas if you get the chance!
