2026017: My friend, Chuck, and I were traveling back from Hanging Rocks to Charlotte and stopped in Winston-Salem for pizza. Cubano Forno served authentic neapolitan pizzas. I has mushrooms and Chuck had sausage. While these were lovely, the toppings were haphazardly strewn on them so that some slices missed the main ingredients. The facility were the pizzas were made and the benches where we ate have a rustic industrial vibe that is appropriate for the locale - part of the former cigarette factory. Chuck abd I agreed that if we find ourselves back that way and want pizza we would revisit Cugino Forno.

I know people rave about this spot, and honestly, I definitely see the hype. The crust is outstanding, and the cheese is premium quality (as noted by the rich flavor and perfectly melted texture). They also always manage to excel at perfectly distributing toppings across the entire pie. Additionally, each one of the meats I've had as a topping is truly exceptional-always something great. It's absolutely phenomenal, and it consistently lives up to all the glowing reviews!!

I know people rave about this spot, but honestly I fail to see the hype. The crust is decent, but the cheese is low quality (as noted by a lack of flavor and rubbery texture) and they always manage to fail at properly distributing toppings across the pie. Additionally, each one of the meats I've had as a topping is also just decent, never anything great. It's by no means horrible, but it simply doesn't ever live up to the reviews

Some of, if not the best pizza in the state. They are nationally ranked and you can taste why. They also have gelato and amazing salads.

Very spacious. Plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. Good for all occasions. Food was great... especially the strawberry muffin which was amazing!! However, major drawback is policy that they will not customize your pizza. It must come exactly as described on the menu. We were astonished by the lack of flexibility here. I guess they figure their food is good enough that they can tell people to go elsewhere if they don't like it, which I respect. On the other hand, if you or your loved one has special dietary needs or preferences, you're better off going somewhere else
