We had an absolute blast on our tour with our driver and guides, Mark and Bruce! We traveled as a large group of 15 girls for a bachelorette trip in May 2024, and everything was handled seamlessly. We were comfortably accommodated by splitting into two groups for our day trip to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. Along the way, we enjoyed great stories, made fun and interesting stops, and discovered some hidden gems for food and souvenirs. We highly recommend booking with them to make your trip smooth, fun, and truly memorable!
An Unforgettable Experience – Worth the Splurge! Our tour - Small group one day trip to Antelope Canyon My wife and I visited from Illinois for our first trip to Arizona. We booked the Antelope Canyon day tour with Detours, and while we were initially hesitant about the cost, it turned out to be one of things where we say money well spent. Why you should book this tour: Antelope Canyon - Walking through the slot canyons is otherworldly. The sculpted red sandstone and the famous light beams create a surreal experience. Horseshoe Bend - The view from the rim is massive. Seeing the Colorado River curve around the rock formation from 1,000 feet up is something you have to see with your own eyes. Cultural Connection - We loved the opportunity to interact with Native Americans and purchase authentic jewelry and crafts directly from them About Detours - Our guide Mark Lane was phenomenal. He is a master storyteller and an excellent host. He knew exactly when to stop for breaks (bonus points for finding the cleanest restrooms!) and kept the 14-hour day feeling fun and energetic. Detours, please give this man a raise—he is your best ambassador! Some tips - 1. We went post-Thanksgiving and hence there was very less crowd. Maybe the other months of the year are more crowded so please plan that well! 2. Inclusions - Breakfast, lunch and unlimited water are free. Park tickets and other fee are also included. 3. Bring your best shoes on for walking and carry some cash in case you want to buy souvenirs directly from the locals! If you are on the fence about booking this or not, go ahead and do it. It is truly money well spent and you will come back home with lots of memories! Thank you Detours! All of the tours provided by Detours are absolutely amazing! I took two tours—the Apache Steamboat and the Grand Rock Canyon—and both were incredible. Bruce and Mark did an outstanding job facilitating the tours, ensuring everyone was comfortable, picking us up on time, and providing excellent insights about each location. The Tours concluded on time And everything was just well-organized. The scenery was breathtaking in both the tours, and the overall experience was unforgettable. I had an amazing time and highly recommend them!
Apache Trail and Dolly Steamboat tour was excellent! Our tour guide, Elmar, was friendly, considerate, and knowledgeable. I am semi-handicapped and use a walker. He graciously loaded and unloaded it at every stop & made sure I was safe. The views on this tour were amazing and we were even able to see bighorn sheep while on the Dolly Steamboat. I highly recommend taking this tour!!!
Yesterday, we visited the Grand Canyon and Sedona for the first time. It was amazing! And I can’t tell you how we have been looking forward to this adventure! DETOURS was super easy to schedule with, and wonderful to work with. Very responsive via email with administrative questions. As for our private tour, it self, we do not have words wonderful enough to describe our day with Hyun! By far the best decision we made this trip! Hyun’s knowledge, kindness, sense of humor, and attention to detail, were top tier! Leaving the driving to Hyun let us enjoy all of the scenery and pay attention to the awesome fun facts Hyun shared all day along! 10 out of 10 recommend! Book a private tour and ask for Hyun, zero chance you’ll be disappointed!
