Queued out the door but worth waiting for. The pistachio croissant was fantastic, a great size and definitely freshly baked. Coffee could have been warmer, but overall worth the trip to SQ. Very limited seating so don’t expect to get a seat indoors, however there lots of benches outside with lovely views of the Forth Bridges.

Great selection of pastries and savoury bakes, as well as good bread and sandwiches. Coffees also excellent. Croissant easily as good as the best in Edinburgh(the ones with a 40 minute queue). Worth the journey and very scenic once you get here. Lots to enjoy. Definitely the best croissants in Edinburgh or London, superb focaccia.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the croissants! The lemon custard one was SOOO GOOD! So flaky and you could literally see every layer of it. The sticky toffee pudding special was amazing too!

Fabulous selection of pastries both savoury and especially sweet. Very busy but for a reason, so you may well have to queue but staff get through orders quickly and efficiently. The portion sizes are generous and the quality is outstanding; the four treats we purchased look like pieces of art and tasted just as good as it looks. Only wish there was one closer to home, but then I'd have to buy much bigger trousers!

Such a welcoming environment. Staff are lovely and helpful. Coffee was good! Discount if you bring your own cup and of course the pastries are delicious. My partner has tasted many pastries around Edinburgh and ranks this one has her top favourite.
