I have been learning BJJ and Muay Thai in Elite MMA greenway location for over 2 years. All the coaches are friendly and knowledgeable. Everyone is willing to teach each other during the training. Moreover, the mat is clean and sanitized.
Great gym for beginners and advanced. Coaches are super helpful. I've been training in kickboxing for a few years and they are awesome at helping me find modifications for moves my body might not be able to do. Ended up trying BJJ because of how supportive and safety conscious the coaches are!
I started at Elite about two months ago and I love every minute of it! Since my first day, the coaches and the community have been so welcoming. Coach Jose, Coach Q and Coach Cruz are amazing coaches that really care about their students! I’m happy to be apart of an amazing and encouraging community!
I have been training at Elite MMA for close to 3 years now. I started with zero martial arts training and since my first day on the mat everyone has been extremely helpful and friendly. The coaches here are very knowledgeable and are committed to helping students of all skill levels. Training here has been a very fun and rewarding experience. The jiu jitsu and kickboxing classes helped me lose over 40 pounds in 4-5 months without having to change my diet. If you are someone who is looking to combine real self defense, a high intensity workout, and recreation all in one this is the place for you.
My 5 year old son has been doing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for 2.5 years at Elite MMA. We knew we wanted him to do BJJ when he was 2 years old, and we found the perfect place with Elite MMA. When you start BJJ early, you're entrusting REAL childhood development to another party, and I wouldn't trust anyone other than the coaches at Elite. Obviously we didn't start him early with BJJ for him to be good at BJJ, our goals were his development: respect, discipline, hard work, listening, focus, teamwork, caring of others, tenacity when you lose or things are hard, safety, and self-defense. 2.5 years later with the same coaches at the same organization, I have so many good examples of why choosing Elite MMA was the right choice: 1) My son plays soccer. When he plays soccer he wins and loses. When he loses, he tries harder. When he wins, he wins graciously. During practice, he hustles... wherever the soccer coach tells him to go, he goes, and he's the first one there. When the soccer coach asks him to do anything, he says "yes, sir." He pays attention. My son also swims, goes to basketball camps, and plays baseball, and in each scenario, he is extremely coachable. 2) In Kindergarten, I've been told that my summer baby son (youngest in the class) is mature enough to tell his teachers when he doesn't understand something. He helps his friends when they need help. He also tells his teacher when he is ready to learn something new. 3) My 5 year old is more responsible than I am sometimes. He reminds me when something needs to happen for school (wearing a special occasion shirt, signing permission slips, bringing his library books, packing a snack for an after school activity). I do not manage his folder, nor his backpack. I'm not saying that my kid is this way 100% because of his 2.5 years at Elite MMA. I am saying with 100% confidence that they MOST DEFINITELY had a hand in it. A story about the time I knew Elite MMA was right for my son... At his first belt test - 1.5 hours long. It was about 6 months after he started, and he was 3, the youngest and smallest at the test. Every time he was paired up with another kid, he lost. He tapped out EVERY SINGLE ROUND. I was sitting and watching on the side waiting for him to start crying, waiting for him to come tell me that he didn't want to do it anymore, waiting for him to say "I'm done." That time never came. He got up off the ground and fought his hardest each and every round. That's when I started telling each person I knew that they HAD to check out this place... called Elite MMA.
