Forward is a phenomenal place. I did martial arts as a teenager and have been wanting to get back into it. I tried out a couple gyms in the Madison area but once I met Brendon and started training at Forward, I knew I'd found my home. Forward provides rigorous but accessible martial arts training. Whether for fitness, competition, or personal growth, you will find something here. The community is very welcoming, and places high value on positive support and inclusion. Highly, highly recommend them!!

Clean gym with nice new equipment, good instructors, and a solid fight team. It’s a welcoming atmosphere for all levels, and the owner/instructors are very friendly. I chatted with Abbe and Brendon after my first session, it’s obvious they are both very passionate about Muay Thai and giving students a quality experience. I’ve trained at a handful of combat gyms in the past, and I’m impressed with the outfit they have here. It’s a really cool space with quite a few heavy bags, an elevated ring, and a good amount of mat space. Whether you’re brand new to combat training or you’re an active competitor in the sport, I think this gym should be on your radar.

This martial arts gym has a very welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff and students wanting to help you succeed in your martial arts journey. There are a variety of classes offered throughout the week to accommodate specific interests, goals and busy schedules. Instructors are knowledgeable and patient. They take time to break down and drill each technique and answer questions while providing a fun learning environment. No matter your goal, this gym has got it all! It definitely feels like one big, happy family!

I have been training martial arts for more than a decade, and I have never seen a gym with better feel to it. The staff is welcoming, the instructors patient and knowledgeable, and the facilities are outstanding. I would recommend it to folks just looking to exercise or to those serious about competing. Inclusive, professional, and fun gym.
