We celebrated our anniversary at Guard and Grace and had an absolutely incredible experience. We had the artisan cheese tasting appetizer, which was fun and delicious. The New York strip was tender and juicy. The gnocchi were our favorite: rich, comforting, cheesy and incredibly soft. The Brussels sprouts were well seasoned and crispy. The atmosphere felt upbeat and modern, and the service made our anniversary feel genuinely celebrated. It was a memorable night, and a place we cannot wait to return to.
We’re in town for the stock show and tried Guard and Grace for the first time as recommended by a friend. We were not disappointed. Great atmosphere. Food was great… love that there’s a 4oz filet option for my daughter and I after filling up on appetizers, salad and bread! Our daughter loved the chocolate chip cookies with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Jonathan (and all the staff) took great care of us and we enjoyed talking to him.
We had an amazing time at Guard and Grace. We had the Colfax & Holly martini, as well as an Espresso Martini, which were both awesome. Started with a French Onion Soup and Caesar Salad, which the server nicely suggested a half order (which was more than enough). It was so nice that they offer half orders, especially since there was only two of us. My wife had the 4oz Filet with an added scallop and bernaise, while I had the 16oz Ribeye with a scallop and bernaise. Both were very good! Server was so attentive, management made sure to check on us, and the Chefs Table was a great place to sit! Highly recommend!
What a dinner. Seriously, spectacular. I reserved this place early on - knowing that my wife and I would be going to a comedy show around the area. I’ve heard the hype, seen it’s one of the best steaks in the world & knew we had to go. We arrived to the front desk and were seated within 10 minutes of arrival. After that the server Tyler took a very guided and attentive approach to make sure we had the full experience of Guard & Grace. Definitely recommend him as a server. After some initial deliberating we landed on the steak flight, pasta of the day (rigatoni) & duck fat fries. Before that though, comes the complimentary rolls. The finishing salt helped balance the soft roll. The butter added a decadent experience that was worth the calories due to the enormous amount of flavor packed inside. I had to get a second plate of bread. It was that good. As our ordered food came to the table, we knew we were in for a treat. The steak flight impressed us both and we enjoyed each of the steak options. The handmade rigatoni pasta dish was saucy and sizable. Great texture of the pasta helped it not get overwhelmed by the sauce. The duck fat fries were delicious. Some of the best form of potatoes I’ve ever had. I need to find out the seasoning they use for these. Also they balanced the typical “salty” flavor of fries with a subtle sweetness that led to a very addicting taste. I’m not ashamed to state I finished that full bin of fries by myself. Lastly, I’ve heard great things about these cookies for dessert. As a result, we ordered them (even though we were both very full). Wow, what an experience. The finishing salt helped balance out the natural sweetness of the bite-sized cookies. Great finishing dish. Overall, $260 after tip was money well spent.
Came here last Sunday to celebrate our birthdays and had such a wonderful night! We were running a bit late but called ahead, they were super accommodating, and our round table was ready when we arrived. Our server Jonathon was amazing! so friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu. We loved his appetizer recommendations (potstickers and crab cakes were both delicious). For mains, we had ribeyes and filets with scallops, a pork chop, and a filet with crab meat that was loaded with crab. Every bite was perfect. The sides: broccolini, Brussels sprouts, and their signature fried rice, were outstanding (seriously the best fried rice we’ve ever had!). The atmosphere is lively but comfortable, and the acoustics are so well done that you can actually hear your table talk. We did get a little surprise with a 5% culinary charge, but the next day the general manager, Brandon, called to apologize and explain. That kind of follow-up really impressed us. We told him to keep the refund and give it to Jonathon instead. Great food, great service, and overall a 10/10 experience. We’ll definitely be back every time we’re in Denver!
