Decided to give H3 a try steak was fairly good sides were not impressive. Overall wish I would’ve went back to the cattlemen. I had a better experience there.
2nd time here. Food was great and service was great. Only crime is for a steak house they didn't have sweet tea... which surprised me as this is Texas. But everything was perfect.
We used to love to come here every trip to DFW. The service was subpar and the place was maybe 20% full. It was the slowest I've ever seen it. But after the good I got, I can understand why. Inorder the brisket plate. I got the food, and it had the worst sauce on the meat. After the waitress finally came by to check on me, I told her it was my fault that I should have asked if they put sauce on the brisket. I didn't think to ask, because I have only had steaks here, but it was lunchtime. The sauce was sweet and something off with the flavor. I don't believe in putting sauce on BBQ at serving time. Let the client do it. Where I'm from, it means you're trying to hide something. Well, I found out what when she brought back slices of leather. I guess I pissed her and the cook off. The first plate with sauce, you could see that the brisket had more tenderness to it. So, that tells me they specifically sent me dry cuts with no sauce to prove a point. We left, and won't be be going back. I'm not paying for crappy service and crappy food.
We had a great time having dinner here. Love the steak and my favorite baked potato 🥔. We really enjoy our family time and really like the Texan vibe here. It was also affordable and very nice and friendly servers. We live just 10 mins away but really it was a first time dinning here. Highly suggest and would love to go back again. Thank you for your best food and service🙏🙏
We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday. We didn’t have a reservation but we were able to get seated straight away. The service was prompt and we quickly put in our drink orders (a mango & pineapple margarita for me and a beer for my other half). The margarita was a little sweeter than I was expecting, and didn’t seem like it had much tequila in it, but it was nice enough. We then put in our food orders; I went for the catfish (with spinach as my side as I had seen good reviews of this) and my partner had the chicken fried steak. Food arrived quickly but my dish was extremely disappointing. The catfish had no flavour at all (even after putting lemon, salt and pepper on it) and I would say it is the worst catfish I have ever had. The spinach came with some sort of gravy/cheese sauce and I really didn’t like this either, my partner did eat it though so I think my dislike of this is more personal preference. My partners dish was great though (he said it was the best chicken fried steak he has had) and the fries were awesome (they could have used some of the seasoning on the fries in the catfish dish). If you are just looking for a casual lunch spot, with large portions, then this place would be fine. I probably wouldn’t return though as I think there are better spots in the area. Total bill, including tax and tip, came to c$80 which we thought was reasonable.
