We stopped by on a Friday around 2pm. We chose this place because it was a convenient walk within the stockyards and after reading the reviews, it looked like a good choice. We got the lunch portion 10oz Ribeye but the steak was just OK. Got it done medium and it was soft and good flavor but I'm not sure the portion that was served was a ribeye meat as it looked and tasted different from steaks I've had at other steakhouse. The meat had a lot of stringy fat, maybe that's what it was but not sure if it was fat or stringy tendon. The texture with the stringy meat had me wondering if it was put on a grill or only juiced with smoked flavor for the meat that's what it felt like. It was unpleasant to eat. I was honestly confused. I thought I'd get a better cut off meat at a steakhouse. The lunch portion is $19 maybe that's why? But we still ended up paying around $70 for two people with drinks, sides, extras. The menu says you can add a salad to your meal for $3 which we did and when the waitress brought our receipt we were charged $4. Not a big deal but we did notice that overcharge. We went to Terry Blacks the next day for great BBQ brisket, sausage and sides for around the same amount with left overs to take home. We probably won't be returning here. The restaurant lighting is very dim inside. The decorations are nice and it does feel like an old town saloon when you walk in. But I prefer to eat good food over interior design.
