I have never been able to find a hair salon in Anchorage that consistently delivered results I was happy with, and I usually left feeling disappointed. That completely changed once I started seeing Melissa. She truly listens to what I want and consistently delivers results I love. My hair has never looked or felt better, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality of work. Because of my experience with Melissa, I now fully trust the talented stylists at Hairplay and will continue to be a loyal client.

I am male and went into the salon. I didn’t not know it was more of feminine design. My problem was I have a red hand across my face. The red hand represents native children and women who are stolen by the system and sex trafficking. My children were stolen. I was met with laughter and points at my face. One girl looked in the mirror in the back pointing her finger at me when I saw he she moved out the way very abruptly. I heard a women go absolutely not. Then she came out of the back giving me a weird look for the red hand on my face representing what I have lost. I told her don’t insult me and what it represents. I told I would not of come here if someone didn’t recommend it to me. It’s not their fault. They are very in tolerant people it seems. I would stay away from them personally so to their characters they play, but they might do hair really good I don’t know. Blessed not to know. God is great.🌺✝️🙏🙏☸️

I have been going here for twenty years and I use to love the place. The prices are becoming absurd and honestly previous hair dressers were more aware of meeting a clients desires and what would be flattering in regards to their complexion and whatnot. I am not empresses whatsoever with the place anymore. My daughter told me not to go back there. She looked like Ronald McDonald when she wanted a deep Auburn color for $500 dollars. I am blond have dark blonde eyebrows and did a box die with a darker tone. Went in to even it out. Thinking they’re professional (even with my daughter’s warning) my hair was died black… didn’t even offer anything with my eyebrows and I went in with a darker tone for me which was a little darker than ash blonde. I did say please just fix it and I want something different that bleach blonde. Yeah, luckily since I am blonde it will fade quickly. My daughter felt bad for the cost and rocked orange hair for a year

Great salon! They were able to get me in the same week. Taylor did a great job with my haircut. Turned out exactly how I wanted.

I’ve been going to Hairplay for many years. I’ve had the pleasure of getting my hair cut, colored, and styled by many of the professional gals. I’ve been with Taylor lately and she’s figured out my perfect color and has always been so kind. I’ll gladly continue to go to Hairplay for my hair needs. These girls rock.
