I would 100% recommend April and Happy Beaver Wax Bar for your waxing needs. April was extremely professional and kind. It was my first Brazilian experience, and she made me feel welcome and comfortable. I've already booked my next appointment.

April was fantastic! I am visiting from out of town and she was able to get me in on short notice. Communication while booking was super easy, and she did a great job. I was super comfortable the entire appointment.

I love supporting small local businesses and this woman owned small business in South Anchorage is great! I was able to book a very last minute appointment by simply texting the number on the website. The service was flawless, thorough and quick! The small touches really made the experience even better, relevant samples of product, a cute gift bag for the upcoming Valentine holiday as well as a punch card to accumulate discounts in the future. I will recommend The Happy Beaver to all of my friends!

Trust the reviews of this place because they do not lie! This was my first time trying this service (and waxing in general), and April made it a wonderful experience. She is flexible, communicative, thorough, professional, and most of all kind. I can tell that she is consistent with her work because just as other reviews say; I was given slippers to wear instead of my outdoor shoes in the building, the room where I received my wax had clean disposable sheets, and I was given a mint which was a plus. As for the waxing itself, she made sure it was as painless as possible. I expected it to hurt more but it was only a sting and she offered me breaks if needed. Considering this was my first ever wax, I deeply appreciated it. She helped distract me from the pain and anxiety of it by talking to me throughout the whole thing. I also love that I was given aftercare instructions and small samples of exfoliators and moisturizers to use. Even though I unfortunately booked last minute, April was understanding. I was very lucky to be able to get a same day appointment. I will definitely be coming back to her the next opportunity that arises.

April is the best and even though I’m cursing her out in my head during the more sensitive areas I keep coming back. She is easy to talk to, extremely professional, and she works quickly which is a plus in my book when it comes to any kind of hair removal! The salon itself is adorable and I love how everything has a place. You can tell how much she takes pride in her business because of how clean and well kept everything is. I highly recommend Happy Beaver Wax Bar to anyone and everyone who needs a little extra help with hair maintenance :)
