**Filthy.** **Filthy floors. Filthy toys.** **attendant doesn’t care to enforce rules** The integrity has gone downhill over the past couple of months. On a rainy day, this should be a nice place. However, the attendant is not attentive to what the rules are expected of. The shoe rules are lax, and when I brought it up three times, I was met with “well it’s busy”. Dirty wet shoes from the parents are allowed. Kids don’t have socks. Well, I guess we will be going somewhere else. Oakland is sorely lacking in these types of safe spaces. I suggest you go somewhere else in the future.
HAPPIHands Playspace, 900 Market Street, Oakland. Support this wonderful, locally-owned and operated child play space for little ones! Clean and VERY reasonably priced (especially compared to the other chain Gym-spaces ;-) @happihandswest is wonderful, as is their owner!
Love this place for babies and toddlers! It’s big enough for them to have a lot to do but small enough and set up in a way that I can sit at a table and have eyes on them the whole time! I purposely don’t play with the toddlers so they can explore on their own and also socialize. They have so much for the littles ones to do from a ball pit, reading area, big legos, tons of pretend play props, climbing, a slide and more. The baby area has a padded floor and it’s a great setup to teach your baby to crawl and climb safely as well as let them safely explore.
Had the pleasure of having my sons 2nd birthday party here! We had first learned about this little gem months ago during a rainy day. We ended up purchasing the 5 visit pass and our little one not only loved to visit, but it was nice to see him become more comfortable each time we went. We love how there are so many different stations for the kids to play like the play structure and pretend play areas. It’s the perfect place for a little one to stay occupied and explore safely. The owner is such a great woman who really cares about her business and the community. She does an excellent job of keeping the place organized and clean. For the birthday party, I really appreciated how organized and helpful she was. We were glad our small group was able to experience this hidden gem in West Oakland; with everyone raving how much they enjoyed the place - adults and kids alike.
The staff went above and beyond to make my sons first Birthday “play date” Party memorable for each guest. Allow the staff to actually organize and provide everything, you will be satisfied. They thought of everything plus the unimaginable. I felt my price paid was fair and a great deal for everything they do. It’s really clean, professional and comfortable. Really happy my circle has found a new go to since the weather changing also.
